Chet might end up being a financial mistake. Maybe they will trade him to milwaukee in the off season? Unsure if that would entice the bucks

Re: NBA Games Discussion Thread - Part 6
Holmgren gonna need therapy after this series!! Guy laid a stinking turd on the court.
Harper was great. Can't believe Wemby made it through the last 8 minutes without fouling out.
Kornet had maybe the block of the year, given the circumstances.
Fox had that very smart foul at the end so not totally useless.
SGA had a good game but not good enough, and his teammates didn't show up.
I'm ready for the reign of Wemby. Guy is an all timer already. Love the edge angry Wemby plays with, too.

I always thought Chet was overrated, and his contract crazy.

It might be a 4-0 sweep like in 99. Spurs have advantages at pretty much every position except for point guard, and even that one isn't a huge difference.

Re: NBA Games Discussion Thread - Part 6
My mind says the Knicks should win. They’re more seasoned. Anunoby and Bridges present challenges for the Spurs.
But my gut is saying Spurs win. Their wings and guards are playing way beyond their years.
And Wemby isn’t going to face a bunch of bigs in this series.

This is the Knicks best chance. If they don’t win, they will never win. The Spurs will only get better as their young players get better.

Should be a fun series. Im looking forward to seeing what KAT brings to the fight. Brunson somehow getting layups to go down over Wemby will be hilarious.

He's awfully good, it's true. But game ball to Julian Champagne, who had the best outing of anyone on the Spurs squad. Without him, they do not win the game. Period.

If you think the Knicks have a chance, well, then you can bet against the market and make some big money. Kalshi gives the Spurs winning a 64% chance.

Nah…I’m giving the game ball to Fox. His veteran, stabilizing presence—stuff that doesn’t show up in the box scores—was crucial.payitforward wrote:Paris41 wrote:Harper is a superstar

The Spurs had about a 33 percent chance to beat the Thunder according to Vegas. I wonder if underdogs have value in the later rounds.

The Spurs are the better team in the abstract, as confirmed by their regular season record with Wemby in the lineup. But I really do like how the Knicks match up with the Spurs. They definitely have a chance. The Spurs are going to have a hard time scoring.

The Spurs have to push the tempo to score.
But New York loves to do the same.
If Wemby wasn’t a baby deer on offense, I’d be very comfortable picking San Antonio. But given where he is and his difficulty with Anunoby… NYK is in a good spot.
Champagnie and Vassell also never have good shooting nights together. It’s always one or the other.

I would trade the first overall for him. Spurs obviously wouldn't.
