They should just keep hoarding first round picks.

For the sake of East - West parity Giannis needs to stay East. We already have like 5/6 of the best players out West. Think it would be like the top 7 if Giannis goes West.

If you have a chance at a superstar center, you'd be a fool not to get him.

Come on guy. Giannis hasn't been healthy for the postseason in 4 years.
I think Presti is more likely to run it back with some tweaks.

One more inaccurate post out of many lately.
2025 playoffs happened just 1 year ago.
This season they didn't even make the playoffs.
He was healthy when they started.

Dort is gone for sure. I think they have to keep Hartenstein (which means Wiggins and Joe might be out the door). I'd be very surprised if they pursued Giannis.
The Spurs are going to be better than they are today. They will be a lot better than the OKC if they don't upgrade, they have to catch up.

If you have even the slightest opportunity to get two back-to-back MVPs in their primes on the same team (Shai + Giannis/Jokic), you don’t just test those waters you canon ball into that b****
First and foremost they should ask Denver what do they want other than the Canadian (not talking about Dort). If that’s a no, then Chet + every pick for Thanasis and any of his baby brothers the Thunder wants.

Spurs have 4 picks to play with. Interested to see what they do.

if dort is gone, they have to cut topic, kenrich williams to get right at the 2nd apron( theyre way over without the 3 aforementioned moves). This would allow them to give Hartenstien a similar deal to what hes making now, which is probably only a slight discount from what he would get on the open market.

I gave my own opinion, not what the Okc front office should do. I'd like to see how they can respond without him. Same as with GS going after KD. From their perspective it makes sense but from a fan perspective it made the players look weak.

Giannis comes with way too many injury risks, and the on-court fit is not nearly as smooth compared to how well KD fit with GSW. The only player (other than Wemby) who guarantees a championship for okc is Jokic. Trade JDub/Hart/Mitchell + picks to Denver, keep Chet as a rim protector to pair with Jokic. Chet still fine as a 3rd/4th option, just not a 2nd option.

Luckily OKC is adding a two-way All-NBA/All-Defense player and a 15-20ppg scorer who plays good defense to their roster, as well as at least 1 promising rookie and potentially a couple. Thunder will be much better next season than the OKC team the Spurs beat.

I don't think OKC has a package to get Giannis.

Bucks fans gonna buck.
If OKC doesn't have a package for Giannis, then noone does right?
Both Williams and Holmgren are All NBA and All stars.
Who do you want? SGA? With 5 picks maybe?
Would you want to be the team paying Chet $50 million a year for the next five years?
This is J-Dub's injury history and he's only 25:
where do you find these lists?

It's much easier and safer to tell Chet Holmgren to man up then trade a quarter of your roster/picks and gamble if Giannis Antetokounmpo only fits but is healthy
Fire Anthony Parker, John Hammond, Jeff Weltman and Jamahl Mosley

Nothing a fast paced, spacing oriented team should do more than pursue a guy whose shooting range is 5 feet.

They need to react. They should have consolidated picks two years ago, and that is still pending. They got away with it last year. This year a team caught up because they didn't do it. Eventually Presti will realize he can't have it both ways, just as Bob Myers did, and Daryl Morey should have, and on and on. It doesn't have to be for GA, but they need to spend theIr capital and improve. Because you can sure bet the Spurs and others won't sit on their heels.

Hurts spacing, no argument there. But they need someone that's not intimidated to go at Wemby.

They will improve. The team that lost in 7 games of the WCF will add to their roster for next season:
Jalen Williams (All Star)
Ajay Mitchell (Top 50ish player)
Thomas Sorber (15th pick)
12th pick
17th pick
I agree they need to keep trying to improve. I just disagree with pushing all your chips to the table and betting on a single proposition.
Winning a few transactions each year + strong team development culture is much better than shopping for a singular savior.
