Dylan was amazing tonight. Spurs may have won if he played in the last 4 minutes.

Weird thing is that Fox +/- was 0 - and I'm guessing it might have been better than that entering the last 4 minutes while Harper was +/- was -5. But yeah, eye test/box score Harper looked much better.

Go Knicks. What a fun team to root for.

I can see hints of what the Wizards are building in both these teams - lots of athletic wings and shooters. Bilal, Champagnie, Kyshawn, Watkins on the wings, and Tre and even Bub as guards wouldn't look out of place on either team's roster. Bub probably the biggest stretch. Sarr and healthy AD, for sure would have fit.

Trae Young would have been overmatched, I think, but his offense/shooting if he gets hot would win some games. He's here for development of the young guys with his passing as much as anything, though, I think (I hope!). Seems like he's embracing the leadership role.

Whatever the Knicks did to slow Wemby is now the blueprint, but I think Wemby is going to come back fired up, dressed up in some monk getup with a shaved head and ready to dominate.

Agreed. He's come a long way. I hated watching the guy play for a long time. Unbelievably soft. That one photo of him running into Demarcus Cousins pretty muched summed up the first part of his career. He's a beast now, mixing it up down low. Good for him. Gives me some hope that Sarr can develop some of whatever motivated Towns to start playing like a 7 footer.

I was getting annoyed how they kept going back to Wemby in crunch time and the fact that he was settling for too many jumpers. He's 7'5'' and shot 51% from the field during the season. That doesn't add up.

Brown deserves more credit than I had previous given him.

It's too bad the Knicks are a package deal with (many of) their insufferable fans. True of Boston too.

One of my old friends used to hate mercilessly on KAT. He wasn't too off base before this year. Times appear to have changed.
KAT deserves credit too.

But the series ain't over yet.

Kat isn't bothered by Wemby at all, on either end.

Knicks fans have taken over the Frost Center. Given that the cheapest ticket to game 3 is 10k or more it makes sense it's cheaper to see a game in San Antonio, including airfare and hotel plus the Knicks last won 53 years ago.

none of the champagnie brothers can guard in space that well. Spurs need a real 4 next year. Neither champagnie or Vessell are big enough to play 4 when it matters.

Castle left his teammates out to dry with some his aggressive steal attempts. Reminds me of the Wall days a little.

Harper looks like he will have a bright future.

Knicks fans are like some sort of ubiquitous bacteria.

Refs did their part. Spurs just didn’t come through. They still need a go to scorer.

If they call it even in NY, this is over in four.

If they couldn’t review that OG three at the end, Knicks really would’ve been screwed. Tony Brothers special

I could be way off base but I'm actually giving the Knicks a better chance than many.

That said, there is Wemby. I'm just not ready to have the Spurs dominate the league for the next 10 years or more.
But that's more acceptable than the #Sonicsgate Thunder winning multiple chips.
Jim is looking prophetic.

Spurs are getting swept. They finally play like a dumb young team… in the NBA Finals.

Wemby is a baby deer on offense. Too many jumpers.

Fox played much better.

Congrats to the Knicks though. They’re unbeatable this postseason.

A Knicks series win puts Brunson squarely on the cusp of HOF consideration.

KAT, per ChatGPT:

Karl-Anthony Towns is shedding his long-standing reputation as an underachieving, defensively unreliable player and is widely viewed as the driving force behind the New York Knicks' historic championship run. He is currently leading the entire playoffs in Box Plus/Minus and has completely flipped the narrative regarding his game. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]

Before the series began, Jamal Crawford said the winner will be whoever wins the matchup between Victor and KAT. He favored KAT. Bold considering how dominant Wemby was against OKC.

This series is bit like the one with Hakeem against Shaq and the rest of the young Orlando Magic. No one stopped Shaq. He just couldn't dominate Hakeem. Victor can't shut Karl Anthony Towns down. The Knicks are a cohesive, experienced team.

NYK is almost certainly going to win this series now, possibly by a sweep.

Congrats to the Knicks. Gives me hope that a team can overcome poor ownership and an extended period of Grundle as GM and compete for a champtionship - eventually. We got a chance!!

I said Knicks in 6 before the series started. Might be over sooner than that.

Kat is definitely the key. The Spurs have no answer for him. Remember that he went H2H against Jokic in the playoffs a lot and held up well. If he doesnt get in foul trouble the game wouldn't have been so close at the end.
