You think that is too much for Minnesota to give up? That is wild.

2 bench players, 2 bad 1sts and McDaniels is too much to give up for a top 5 player in the world?

I don't really get reggies point here, but IMO Wolves need to pull out because they cannot afford to lose the players that would be involved. Keeping Gobert, Randle, Giannis is just too big and clunky. Gobert is strictly a C, Randle strictly a PF, Giannis is best at PF, can play C and maybe still SF.
Reid and McDaniels are the more positionless guys and are better fits with Giannis...

My point is that Minnesota wouldn't trade their package for Charlotte's. I thought that was clear, especially after I cleared that up in my response?

Got it, that was how I interpreted it, but I wasn't sure why we were comparing our sizes lol.
IMO it's about what the package does for the team rather than abstract value or in-game value.

I would argue that Ayo at just above MLE (sign and trade) Randle and Gobert along with the two picks max makes the Bucks a better team for the next 3- years than keeping Giannis does.
Doesn't mean they should consider that.
But Ayo-Rollins-Yaxel-Randle-Gobert is the starting lineup of at least a play-in team in the East.

Feels like the thread of the week to try and unrealistic Giannis deal?

No realism this time..

NOP: Trey, DJM, 2027 NOP/Mil first
NOP: Jaylen

GSW: Butler, Podz, 11, 2027 first
GSW: DJM and Trey

Is Curry/DJM/Trey/Dray/KP good enough for Curry’s last run ? I don’t think so. But maybe?

Boston: Jaylen, 27, 2027+2031+2033 firsts
Boston: Podz and Giannis

Or whatever the rumored offer is. Podz is a good JAG/roleplayer around their trio.

Milwaukee: Giannis
Milwaukee: Butler, 11, 27, three 2027 firsts, 2031+2033 Boston firsts

5 future firsts and a lottery pick seems cool.

Dont think Podz is needed, 11 + 2027 1st seem like enough value already to me

Even better.

Still don’t love it for GS, but wanted to try it.

If Minnesota is in the deal, you could route McDaniels/Gobert to Houston, and Sengun, DFS, Capela and additional picks to Milwaukee

I imagine a bunch of teams would be lined up to be a 3rd team to take one or both of them.

Imo Giannis trade value is not that much higher than Brown's, I think everyone is after Brown's prototype, plus the Celtics are in good position as is and are not desperate. Celtics sweetener should be like 26 and 27 1sts. Then the bulk of the Giannis trade return can be whoever pays huge deal for Brown.

Pretty shocked the Miami package hasn't gotten one vote.

Giannis for Herro, Jovic, Ware, Jaquez, Kasparas, #13, 2030 1st, 2032 first

I think Herro could be flipped for a first pretty easily- especially if you were willing to take a meh player/contract back.
Ware is worth a first.
Jaquez is worth a first.
Kasparas is interesting
#13 will be a solid player.

Yeah you have to wait a few years before the other picks come along but that along with pick #10 in this draft is at least a young interesting 5 plus Rollins. Plus whatever you can flip Turner for.

Idk, I was a higher on Kasparas and I think when he played this year he looked pretty solid tbh.

Bulls fan here-I would give the #15 for Ware in a second, if Milw just wanted to stay with Turner

Nets if they want the best rebuilding mid to longterm offer.

Portland+Miami if they want to be more of a mid level almost playoff team quicker.

It will be Orlando if they indeed do get involved witj Giannis and Paolo Banchero on the table with Anothony Black.

I like Paolo, but I think they need more bites at the apple given they have no picks. I would rather take a grab bag of young players and picks and hope I can develop them rather than tie up 90% of the package in 1 player for a guy like Paolo, Mobley, Chet etc..

Herro's relationship with the team has been so hot and cold anyway. None of those young guys have the clout to seriously get miffed at being in Giannis talks. The other teams though... BOS has to be delicate about how they let Brown's name hang out there. MIN doesn't want to start damaging their relationships with McDaniels/Reid. It makes sense that BOS and MIN would more "suddenly" enter into trade talks at the last minute with their actual offer. They have to be able to stay cool with those players if the deal doesn't happen, whereas MIA doesn't really need to worry about that. So it makes sense that MIA's reported offers are way more firm than anyone else.

This right here is the real reason why these rumours exist. Giannis and to a much lower extent Horst have been doing this **** for years to put other teams at a disadvantage.

Maybe. I think it really depends on how high that third team values Brown.
If I’m the bucks I want a good young player with plenty of upside (star potential ) and a lotto pick with additional picks and filler.
Miami offer seems a bit weak but 13 along with Ware and Vasquez almost gets you that. Hero if they keep him is good or he might have a bit of value to a third team.
For the Celtics if Brown can net a pick better than 13 and a player better than the Miami guys then yeah maybe the Celtics only need to add some late picks but I think they can make a stronger offer by sending one of 27 or 2027 first, a 2030 swap and a 2031 first. Those later years have some higher variance so may entice the Bucks.
But yeah, if a third team gives really strong value for Brown…like Portland giving Bucks picks back or 8 and OO or NAW from Atlanta then it seems like Celtics might not need to add much.
In a Vacuum I think Brown is a near first and a future first short on Value vs Giannis.
