I’ve only liked HS as a giant bully ball 4 owning the glass. But SV got me thinking… so I looked up their combine measurements and they are nearly identical in everything. It’s crazy.
What do you think of HS next to Caleb Wilson at the 4 for my Bulls?
Anyone else see a poor man’s KAT?
I dont see KAT. Towns is a insane shooter with one of the softest touches ever for a big man.
Hannes is more mobile and will do some work in the open floor. I think he builds out a 3 but wont be near the volume of KAT.
I actually see more Hartenstein in him than anyone albeit that still isnt a perfect comparison. Think iHart w/ a coin flip chance of developing a 3 ball - which is a Top-10 guy to me. About 75% of the block rate as iHart though. Think Hannes does have the feel to become a similar level passer FWIW.
HS has an elite feathery touch in the paint. It’s ridiculous. KAT is much better off the dribble though. KAT only averages 10 and 6 his freshman year. HS was 18 and 12 with the worst guards in the country.
If HS gets to league average from 3 on 3-4 attempts it will be plenty to spread the floor and then attack off the bounce. KAT was 2-8 from 3 and HS was 18-53. KAT is only shooting 4 3s per game. The most he’s shot in a season is 6. HS was 75FT and KAT was 80FT %.
I’m telling you their game is crazy similar and HS showed way more in his freshman season with much worse talent around him.
