Wizards being wizards, you can have the 1st pick every year, never gonna work.

Yeah, this is why most people panned the trade to begin with. Wanting to compete is great, but you can’t just overpay “name” players with tje new cba.

I wonder what all those people that said he was crazy to opt out and that he received bad advice are thinking now.

$53m AAV for a one dimensional undersized PG is...unlikely to be a recipe for winning. Wonder if AD asked for this.
Did WAS learn nothing from the Beal situation? I guess at least they didn't give him a NTC..

You shouldn't compare Beal to Trae... Trae is a poor defender and shoots too many long 3's. These are issues that can improve or be worked round. He also has the best court vision in the NBA. He is an elite playmaker. Beal was elite at nothing.

If they have a cheap team for a few years, it's manageable. Especially with the new draft rules and 30 or 40 wins being just as good as 18 wins draft wise. Maybe a hair better.
It would be high if they were fighting the cap, but I don't think they are.
New York Knicks. 2026 NBA Champions.
I've been waiting 53 years for this.

AD will get his max extension, that cures a lot of problems for him.
The Wizards are going to be a first/second round team forever tho.

Washington will always be the same dumb and poorly ran organization! I don't think that Trae is worth that much money especially against your cap! Some bottom feeder organizations will never change!

Y’all must of forgot what Trae did to the knicks. He’s a winning player with the right pieces. Don’t tell me about height, size and defense when Brunson just won a chip

When you're a bottom feeder, you have to overpay to keep players
