Interesting move. Curious if JR will be rerouted elsewhere. Also, this can't be just about Ayo. This team needs a PG so bad.

Sure, Randle had less impact than in regular season, but did they look also at the dropping Net rating diff of Edwards in the Playoffs (playing injured)?
-14.3pts between with/without Edwards (worst of the team)
- Dosunmu was the second worse at -12.2 and just got extended for $112M
- Randle was the third worse with -8.4pts

They mainly lost because DiVincenzo was not available, and Edwards played through and negative impact by doing so.

If you create space to sign Morant but then you keep DiVicenzo, sign Dosunmu, keep Hyland... that makes three PGs and two SGs... but no real PF off the bench or a starter if Reid gets the starting role.
I believe the Wolves need more Hachimura than Dosunmu or Morant.

Morant is under contract for the next two seasons at $42M and $45M
They also don't have a TPE big enough to absorb his contact
