Jack Kayil won their title today. I didnt get to watch it all, just the last 5ish minutes where he looked good. Looked like he had a really rough game before that lol.

They were running offense through him down the stretch, speaks volumes for his development. Jumper looks good just didnt go in. Made quick and easy decisions in the pick and roll, even when he has aggressively hedged.

It is so hard to predict with guys like him, because we don't have access to team's medicals. I could see him going a lot earlier than expected or falling out of the first round entirely. He is a total wild card.

This seems to suggest that Wagler thinks his floor is 5 to the Clippers.

Tonight, we'll wait for insider betting to place big bets on Boozer, who is the clear #1 prospect this year. All the Dybantsa and DP smokescreen is gonna clear. Despite the Wizards and their history of bad drafting, I believe they will make the right decision.

Same thing happened with Paolo at about 1:30 AM ET on draft day. This is not to say that Paolo is the right choice; just that there is zero incentive for any front office to leak any news of preference. Any leaks you see are most like to be smokescreen than actual intel.

The depth in this draft class really isn't as good as previous years due to NIL. You can still find 'guys', but there isn't as much of a wealth of talent.

Think we see him go 2 to Utah and Lauri is instantly shopped and ultimately moved no later then next summer, maybe in a rarer talent for talent swap.

Just typing that I feel like Lauri +future FRP’s for Jaylen Brown would be perfect.

I have a feeling Ament will drop at least out of top 10... It'll be an interesting moving chairs this draft.

Sorry I wasn't ignoring your question. I actually was trying to formulate an opinion, as I have not dug as deep into his game. While he was not one of my more viewed players, I like his game and would place him in my top 8 or 9 prospects overall. Speed, handle, P&R game are tight. I was not enamored by the reads to the same extent as some others (I think I prefer Acuff overall).

I am kind of:
Wilson
Peterson
----
Boozer
----
Acuff
Dybantsa
Mara
Wagler/Brown Jr
---

Caneman786 wrote:Here's a collection of where the major pundits stand when it comes to the lottery picks this draft (mock drafts made in the last two days, so this excludes Vecenie's most recent mock that was published on June 8):

They are in this order, and separated by commas.

1. Dybantsa, Dybantsa, Dybantsa
2. Boozer, Peterson, Peterson
3. Peterson, Boozer, Boozer
4. Wilson, Wilson, Wilson
5. Acuff, Jr.; Wagler; Wagler
6. Brown, Jr.; Acuff, Jr.; Acuff, Jr.
7. Wagler; Brown, Jr.; Flemings
8. Burries; Flemings; Brown, Jr.
9. Lopez, Burries, Burries
10. Flemings, Ament, Ament
11. Mara, Mara, Lopez
12. Lendeborg, Lendeborg, Mara
13. Steinbach; Johnson, Jr.; Carr
14. Johnson, Jr.; Lopez; Lendeborg

The top four players seem locked in that range.
The top ten has five more players locked in (nine total): Wagler; Acuff, Jr.; Brown, Jr.; Flemings, Burries
The lottery has three more players locked in (twelve total): Lopez, Mara, Lendeborg

Spoiler:
The biggest change I've seen in the last two weeks is that Lopez has been working his way up the boards (something that user Chuck Everett predicted would happen around this time). There was a while he was being projected in the late first round.

I haven't found a mock draft by Jonathan Givony, who used to be with ESPN and who originally founded Draft Express. Does anyone have a link to that or know what's going on there (does he even still make them?)?

An update for today!

Mock drafts

Kevin O'Connor of Yahoo Sports (June 23, 2026): https://sports.yahoo.com/nba/article/nba-mock-draft-110-latest-projections-for-every-pick-with-fresh-intel-on-day-of-draft-182429225.html

Sam Vecenie of the Athletic (June 22, 2026): https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/7382249/2026/06/22/nba-draft-2026-aj-dybantsa-darryn-peterson-cameron-boozer/

Jonathan Wasserman of Bleacher Report (June 23, 2026): https://bleacherreport.com/articles/25444097-jonathan-wassermans-final-2-round-2026-nba-mock-draft-after-blockbuster-giannis-antetokounmpo-trade

The different mock drafts' results are separated by semicolons

1. Dybantsa; Dybantsa; Dybantsa; Dybantsa
2. Peterson; Peterson; Peterson; Peterson
3. Boozer; Boozer; Boozer; Boozer
4. Wilson; Wilson; Wilson; Wilson
5. Brown, Jr.; Wagler; Wagler; Wagler
6. Wagler; Brown, Jr.; Brown, Jr.; Brown, Jr.
7. Acuff, Jr.; Acuff, Jr.; Acuff, Jr.; Acuff, Jr.
8. Mara; Flemings; Flemings; Flemings
9. Flemings; Ament; Mara; Burries
10. Ament; Burries; Ament; Ament
11. Burries; Mara; Burries; Lendeborg
12. Johnson, Jr.; Lendeborg; Johnson, Jr.; Mara
13. Lopez; Lopez; Carr; Lopez
14. Steinbach; Johnson, Jr.; Steinbach; Johnson, Jr.

We are seeing some consolidation for the expected picks for the guards.

The top four picks remain the same, however now analysts are split between 5 and 6 going between Wagler and Brown, Jr. (most preferring Wagler going to the Clippers at #5).

Acuff, Jr. is unanimously expected to go to the Kings among the four analysts.

There is another tier following this with Flemings, Ament, and Burries (in that order). Aday Mara slots in that tier but has the widest range.

The Bucks are expected to pick Lopez or Carr at #13 (another boom-or-bust prospect). Johnson, Jr. is expected to be a lottery pick.

Steinbach and Lendeborg are the two prospects that may be chosen towards the end of the lottery.

This didn't manifest. Congrats to AJ for going first following the breaking news 30 min ago confirming this decision.

Personally he was my #4 prospect this year. I think it's a justifiable choice, just a bad one based on risk weighted development.

I think the market is evaluating incorrectly this year. I'm happier with reverse 4-1 consensus right now than with 1-4.

Same thing happened with Paolo at about 1:30 AM ET on draft day. This is not to say that Paolo is the right choice; just that there is zero incentive for any front office to leak any news of preference. Any leaks you see are most like to be smokescreen than actual intel.

Respectfully, I don't know how anyone can have AJ at the #4 player in this, or any class really. This guys is everything teams are looking for in a wing.

I’ve personally dropped him to 5, but I don’t mean that to speak ill of him, just think the top 6 are that strong.

But there’s also just something about him where I think he’s gonna be a little Tmac-ish success-wise. Monster stats, regular season success, legit makes teammates better, passes the eye test with flying colors, but for some reason cannot stay out of his own way in the playoffs.

Or DeRozan/Melo/Westbrook-like in style and impact, where he’s pretty great on paper and very good in function, but kind of ball stops, and limits ceiling even though he’s a huge floor raiser.

Most any other year he’d be clear number one or two for me, but I love the other 4 guys I have ahead of him that much.
