I have a hard time seeing them better with any package they get in return than they are with Brown.

Unless they need to do a salary dump (theoretically possible), I think they should make a go of it next year. That's what I'd do if I was GM.

that would be insane, cuz Durant is old and Celtics would want multiple first round picks and some young stars, not aging ones

Anyway, Brown can easily lead a team and can be 1st option if he wants that then fine, but if he prefers playing with Tatum in Boston I believe they can win again or at least play in the finals 1-2 more times. I personally would prefer Celtics, unless I can go into another contender without gutting the team out of contention, but his salary is so big I don't think any other team can swallow it and be a true contender. Celtics team is similar to OKC and Spurs - they have a lot of underpaid players that are punching far higher than their salaries would suggest, so I don't think Brown can go anywhere and contend unless OKC or Spurs offer a big package for him, but I don't think either of those team would want to give away picks and young talent for Brown when they think they can win without him now and will have a longer peak with said younger talent, so he is either stuck in Celtics or he won't be on a true contending team imho. Would be interesting to see where he lands this or next season, but looks like he might end up as another "Tray Young" in some team like Washington that will be happy to be in the playoffs without expectations to reach or win the Conference.

Just my opinion of course.
