Seems like a simple battle
Topic vs Stritz
Sorber vs Mara.

Should have one contributor from each battle.

not sure about the Topic vs Stritz stuff. I see Stritz as another potential Mccain guy. Ajay is the back up PG anyway.

A little off subject but charlotte traded laMelo to minny and got a pg type haul, I really can’t believe this.

not a pg type haul lol. Those swaps might not convey. Not great value but Lamelo is not good and injury prone +++

Minny went from pretenders to..even worse IMO.

Who needs a true PF anyway.

Just for a bit of fun:
Nazr Reid for IHart, who says no?

I know the importance of IHart for this team, but Reid has a cheaper contract and he is probably the best fit to play alongside Chet, but also alongside Mara or Sorber

And IHart would fill a lot of Hornets needs

I have wanted Reid on this team for a while but not at the expense of IHart. I could see the Thunder resigning him to a 3 year deal so Sorber and Mara could have a year or two to develop and then trade Hart as an expiring. I think someone mentioned it already but I can see JWill getting most of his minutes at the 4 next season.

Stirtz is a realy good pick I think. He plays a little bit like Ajay Mitchell and seems to be a hustler kind of player like Indiana's McConnell.

If iHart doesn't want to take a paycut, you have basically thre options:

- let him walk this summer (they won't do this)
- let him walk next summer (bad asset management)
- trade him asap

In this occasion a trade for Reid seams like a good call: you take back a little less money and a good player, who will help your team and could be traded next summer if he gets expandable.

If you let walk away IHart, you gave too quickly pressure on Mara. I want Mara at least one year behind IHart to see how it works.

Totally agree with all of that. I just ment in a vacuum I wouldn’t do that deal. But if you think IHart might walk, yeah, I definitely look at that.

If IHart walk away his minutes would be basically split between Jwill and Reid, I don’t see any competitive minutes possibilities for Mara and Sorber this year

Listen these guys, they have very high opinion on Stirz.

I think we could see trades of both Lu and IHart. Probably for bigger PF.
Out: Lu, IHart, Joe and Topic out. And also some picks.
In: new starting PF, one good role play wing and one veteran wing.

So starting five would be SGA, Cason, JDub, new PF and Chet.
With new deep bench Ajay, McCain, Stirz, Caruso, Jwill, Mara, Sorber, 2 new rotational wings.

I listened to the same show last night and yeah they are very high on Stirz, probably too high I guess.

He was one of the favorite sleepers from a ton of guys that follow the draft pretty closely but that was the case for bust like Bouknight; Johnny Davis and some others so wouldn't look much into it. His shooting is clearly legit so gotta see if BBIQ is as good as some think and if he can improve a bit defensively.

I think this gets them close enough to the 2nd apron that they could cut and re-sign Dort and IHart with relatively small cuts in year one salary to get under the 2nd apron. I hope they do not keep Dort, but this could give Presti that option. I expect one more cost cutting move to get them under the 2nd apron.
