I dont see that at all. He won't play ahead of Lauri/JJJ/Ace, I assume JJJ plays about 12 minutes at center, but Ace probably plays all at small forward this year and Lauri splits time between the 3/4, so at most there are about 12 minutes a game in our rotation for DJJ.

With the shooting of JJJ and Lauri as your bigs, no reason Jones can't play the 2 -- he can absolutely defend it and the offense isn't at risk of no spacing. I think minutes wouldn't be hard to come by.

Not saying they should trade for him, just I think I could get him 25 mpg without any concerns at all.

I think we'd only do that in JJJ center minutes which will also coincide with Peterson SG minutes, but I could be wrong. Nurkic can shoot too, and DJJ can hit open ones. I wouldn't complain about having him, certainly, I just think he could get a larger role and be more valued elsewhere.

I still
Maintain that Sac is going to have exponentially more value by keeping Lavine and having him get an “injury” and expiring for $49 million of clear cap (immediate renounce after the season and no hold) OR doing a deadline deal when teams will pony up younger potential and a first.

Pass.

Actually, Monk makes more sense than Lavine for the Mavericks.

For example, Monk for Martin and Christie makes sense if the Mavericks believes in Risacher to start at 2. Sactown gets servible 3D players on good contract by taking Martin. The Mavericks has the roster set for now.

Monk is more seasoned compared to Larrea. Sasser is not a real floor manager.

Vivek would NEVER buy out Klay. He would swear that having Klay would bring him titles

Actually Vivek is the single biggest reason I would NEVER want to have Klay or any ex Warrior here in Sac.

Vivek has an unhealthy obsession with an aged out team.

If it allowed us to sign Kuminga I might do it with the 2nd.

I am pretty sure that everyone can see why the Kuminga ship has sailed here in Sac.

I think it would be better to pay the 2nd not to have Kuminga.
