Here is a quick list of what you need in your writeup.

1. Specific years for each player on your team
2. Rotations and minutes for each player
3. Reasoning as to why your team will win and/or why people should vote for you.

Do not vote in this thread until both managers have submitted their writeups. Once the writeups are posted, you may post a vote by commenting to this post (notice we will not be using a poll) - all participants of the draft are invited and encouraged to post a vote, so as other regular participants of the games in the forum. You are not required to explain your vote, but you are welcome to do so if you want.

The team with the most votes after 24 hours will advance / win championship (depending on round). If a team gets 4 votes before 24 hours, then the first one to do that auto advances. If the votes are tied, we will decide the matchup via AI vote.

Minimum of two human votes to decide a matchup.

If writeups aren't posted within 24 hours, we will vote solely based on the players they have drafted (and any rotations they have posted on their roster page).

I think my team is built better around Dirk than fade is around KD, both Harper and Moncrief are nice 2nd offensive option but together they present a relatively weak perimeter, that lacks any top scoring talent or generational playmaking, especially against two historic defenders
If we already mentioned historic defenders, Marion is the perfect fit to contain KD, he has the size, the strength and the will to make the snake’s life miserable
Dikembe is the perfect cover for a team without a lot of shooters around, challenging Ewing inside and making every shot inside the paint a nightmare

The offensive side runs smooth with various options around, Dirk is the leading scorer, with Kidd running the show in the back, Jrue and Wiggins both present all-star level creation and off-ball plays right where it needed, and Marion is the extra force, driving inside with athleticism and power

We built a filthy defensive team with the inside-outside combo of Ewing and KD leading the way offensively. KD, Crowder, and Harper keep the floor spread while Ewing in the post and Moncrief off the dribble apply consistent rim pressure. Harper, Moncrief, and McMillan is an insane defensive backcourt trio, and they can really ramp up the backcourt pressure knowing Ewing is waiting on the backline (with KD also providing supplementary rim protection). Crowder, Jones, and KD are a great counter to opposing wings and forwards.

Matchup
- Jones moves into the starting lineup to be the primary defender on Dirk. The remaining assignments are straight up. Ewing will be a menace defensively with a non-threat like Mutombo as his counterpart.
- To be frank, I think it's a little strange that Ringer would point to offensive support around Dirk vs. KD as a competitive advantage in this matchup. Even if Moncrief and Harper were in fact my "2nd offensive options" (they aren't, there is the small matter of peak Ewing), Moncrief is by far the most reliable backcourt scorer on either team, consistently putting up 20-22 ppg on strong efficiency during his prime. By contrast, Kidd and Jrue, for all their value as players in general, are notoriously erratic scorers and shooters. (Jrue's shooting routinely falls off a cliff in the playoffs, the exception being 2023-24 when he was playing a much smaller offensive role which Ringer can't really afford him here.)
- With Mutombo and post-prime Marion as the other starters, we can really shrink the floor and crowd the space around Dirk. And again, there's nobody remotely approaching Ewing as a #2 option. Considering we have at minimum a comparable defensive roster, our superior firepower should really put us over the top here.

I see Ringer team playing better together and Fade having more talent, very close I went with Wiggins/Fox/Lister vs McMillan/Crowder/Kleine being a bit deeper. Vote Ringer
