Nellie Draft SF2 - Dr Positivity vs. Snakebites*

Post#1 » by Fadeaway_J » Thu Aug 20, 2026 12:41 pm

Here is a quick list of what you need in your writeup.

1. Specific years for each player on your team
2. Rotations and minutes for each player
3. Reasoning as to why your team will win and/or why people should vote for you.

Do not vote in this thread until both managers have submitted their writeups. Once the writeups are posted, you may post a vote by commenting to this post (notice we will not be using a poll) - all participants of the draft are invited and encouraged to post a vote, so as other regular participants of the games in the forum. You are not required to explain your vote, but you are welcome to do so if you want.

The team with the most votes after 24 hours will advance / win championship (depending on round). If a team gets 4 votes before 24 hours, then the first one to do that auto advances. If the votes are tied, we will decide the matchup via AI vote.

Minimum of two human votes to decide a matchup.

If writeups aren't posted within 24 hours, we will vote solely based on the players they have drafted (and any rotations they have posted on their roster page).

GL Snakebites

Defensive matchups - Mourning on Shaq, KG on Horford, Mullin on Middleton, Cooper on Reggie, Payton on Porter

We have excellent defensive roster and fit to play his lineup with Mourning on Shaq and elite guard pressure in Payton and Miller on a team that already doesn't have dominant slashing. Mourning won't stop Shaq but like 2004 Big Ben he can do a good enough job for us to not leave shooters open. Payton, Mullin and KG is an excellent fit on offense with the pick and roll PG/PF combo and the great outside shooter, and Middleton is only decent defender for Mullin. This Payton and KG type of offense is a good fit to go against a Shaq team on defense, and our offense talent if lower is more balanced in terms of Payton, KG, Mullin and Mourning's skillsets. Both benches are solid.

Reggie (37)/Elie (11)
Middleton (36)/Elie (12)
Horford (27)/Kleber (21)
O'Neal (38)/Horford (10)

Alrighty let’s do this.

Once again I think I’ve built a pretty tough to beat Shaq team. I’ve got shooting all over the place and the right defenders to put around Shaq, and can match up well against a lot of different builds.

Dr P has a great defensive front court but neither player had a ton of individual success guarding Shaq, and I’ve got Horford to punish the double team as well as being a strong KG cover.

I’ve got all stars at every spot and simply think my team, on balance, can outproduce my opponents. I don’t think there’s any standout matchup that particularly bothers me.

I don’t really have any criticism of Dr P’s team. It fits well and he did a great job. I just think mine is a touch stronger overall and that I match up well.

The spacing in Dr.P’s side isn’t very good
While Zo and KG may be able to slow Shaq a little, I don’t see it being enough, with the team around Shaq a better fit
