As long as his impact on the court is equally positive I'm fine with that. It would likely bring more revenue and attention to the team and raise its profile and status around the league.

Wow. A star is born!

He was a star as a sideline reporter at the finals.
AJ demonstrated humor and ease in front of the camera in his visit to China.
He is hugely Jamaican, hanging with the Jamaican Prime Minister, and partnering with the Jamaican Basketball Association and the Jamaican Tourism Agency.

(Dude could be the PM one day, or a huge global star)

When In went on and on about Caleb Wilson is better than AJ, I didn't know how charming Dybantsa is. That kid's parents are rock solid. He is as grounded as can be for a young man. He's talking about ... playing defense!?!?

Kid athletically reminds me of Bias, only not as strong. I met Len. This kid won't make that same bad choice, but, time will tell of how wise he is and how well he plays. Bias shot the ball more accurately, but Leonard was also already 22 when he passed.

Hopefully, AJ will have a long career.

You’re right, Nate. This is not your typical summer pick up game. Like how AJ found Tre J. for the open 3. That pair is going to be lethal someday

AJ has a really nice handle—and fluid movements—for a 19 yr old, 6-9 player.

I like how he quickly recognizes when he has a bully ball opportunity against a smaller defender. And he was passing nicely out of double teams.

Yep we are being slept on hard. If we remain relatively healthy and AD gives us at least 60 games, we are winning 50. Lot of our young bucks are gonna make some leaps this season and AJ is the real deal Holyfield.

The thing I keep pinching myself about is how much depth they have. Even if AD misses 25-30 games, they have
an adequate backup in place with Ayton. Not that I'm expecting him to be great. He doesn't have to be great, just okay.

Starting 4 - AD, Trae, Sarr, AJ-D, and pick one of Ky, Bilal or Tre J.

Still leaves you with a lot of depth: 2 of Bilal, Tre or Ky, Will Riley, Ayton, Bub, Vuk/Felix on the deep bench, Mann (emergency role player).

The need to continue to give the 2nd string players developmental minutes obviously lessens the chance of the front line guys getting hurt.
