Here is a quick list of what you need in your writeup.

1. Specific years for each player on your team
2. Rotations and minutes for each player
3. Reasoning as to why your team will win and/or why people should vote for you.

Do not vote in this thread until both managers have submitted their writeups. Once the writeups are posted, you may post a vote by commenting to this post (notice we will not be using a poll) - all participants of the draft are invited and encouraged to post a vote, so as other regular participants of the games in the forum. You are not required to explain your vote, but you are welcome to do so if you want.

First to 4 votes wins. There is no AI vote when the host is playing in the matchup.

If writeups aren't posted within 24 hours, we will vote solely based on the players they have drafted (and any rotations they have posted on their roster page).

C: Hakeem Olajuwon 38 min / Nick Collison 10 min
Pf: Horace Grant 38 min / Nick Collison 5 min / Kyle Anderson 5 min
Sf: Eddie Jones 38 min / Kyle Anderson 10 min
Sg: Shai Gilgeous Alexander 38 min / Delon Wright 10 min
Pg: Steph Curry 38 min / Delon Wright 10 min

1993 Hakeem Olajuwon 19.5 cat 2
2026 Shai Gilgeous Alexander 19.4 cat 1
1998 Eddie Jones 12.6 cat 4
2017 Kyle Anderson 3 cat 5
2024 Delon Wright 4 cat 3
2015 Steph Curry 16.8 cat 6
2012 Nick Collison 3.2
1991 Horace Grant 9.4

tfga: 87.9

Everyone in the starting lineup are at their peaks or close to it, and two of them are arguably in the top ten ( Hakeem and Steph ) and Shai is top three player in the game today. Eddie Jones is usually third option in these games but here he is 4th option and Horace Grant is 5th option who was part of Bulls big three back in the day. The bench is cheap fga wise but all of them were decent role players

The team fits well together. The best offball player in Steph spacing the floor for everyone, Hakeem requiring double teams underneath the basket, with all the attention that Steph and Hakeem require will give Shai room to opperate and he can get anywhere on the court. If you somehow can slow down any of them then Eddie Jones or Grant can step up.

Spacing is fine with Steph, Shai, Eddie, Kyle and Delon wright being great to decent threepoint shooters and the rest are good midrange shooters

Defense

All my guys are elite defenders or decent outside of Steph Curry

Defensive matchup

Hakeem/ Nick Collison on Kevin Garnett
Horace Grant on Serge Ibaka
Eddie jones on Kobe Bryant
Shai/ jalen Williams
Steph on Payton

Overall

I think we match up well vs great Larry Russell team. Even despite his great defense we have so many great players that it will be really hard to slow us down

Talent wise I think we have clear talent edge with three mvp type players vs two ( Steph, Hakeem and Shai vs Kobe and older KG )

SF: Williams (38) / Dudley (10)
PF: Garnett (38) / Dudley (10)
C: Ibaka (32) / Eaton (16)

87.4/88

Defense
Payton on Curry - perhaps an age old debate but I believe the all time greatest POA defender will be a great cover for steph

JDub against SGA - another very nice cover, excellently equipped to cover Shai

Kobe on Jones - Another elite defender covering a 4th option

Garnett on Grant - agains my bonus here, Garnett get to roam more defensivly

Ibaka on Hakeem - with help from garnett I lile my defemse here

Offensively, I have a floor spacing front court which opens the floor for Jobe attacking.

Late 90s early 2000s type of gameplay. Comtrol pace, limit own mistakes, cause massive issues defemsively for other teams and push pace off defensive confusion

The defense at Larry’s side is incredible to really make that Steph-Shai backcourt suffer
At the other end, his offense is Diverse enough, with so much elite talent, to trap Steph time and time again

if Garnett was covering Hakeem, I would have considered this a draw. With Ibaka covering Hakeem, I'm going roddy. I think even though Ibaka is bigger, and a better pure shot blocker, he lacks the man-to-man pedigree to stifle someone like Hakeem - whereas Garnett, although slighter in frame was the better man-post defender IMO. vote roddy.
