Ah. It’s my dangling “likely” for the four I predicted. I don’t really know who #5 is.

I think they have enough small salaries they can move one for a 2nd; e.g., Cam Spencer. Someone should want him and they have a million guards, too.

Clarke is already off the cap. We are at 19 included Gibson on a NG and Lopez. Russell, Murray, AJ J, and Gibson are the likely cuts. I like Konchar and think he can give some solid minutes to a contending team, I think he was the same tier of player as Green so didn’t really love this deal for Utah. But he is not a fit for us anymore right now. I would have taken in Cody into an exception for Memphis, give him the preseason to win the team’s last spot and if not cut him. Minny then could keep Konchar and save more money.

Fun to think of a bigger deal tho. Poole and Jerami Grant are a near exact salary match, with Grant having the player option next year with Poole as straight expiring. What if they do the CJ-Poole/Bey deal again! Lol. How much would Grizz value getting off Grant's extra year? Weaver has deep ties with Grant (and Stewart).

DLo, Kris Murray, AJ Johnson and Brandon Clark are all likely gone, and they have about 7 PF’s on the roster. I’m not sure who their last cut would be (Taj Gibson is unguaranteed, so he isn’t counted in the 20).

He's already off the books, and isn't one of the 21 guys they currently have signed (19 main roster and 2 two ways). I just genuinely wasn't sure if you forgot about Clark's untimely passing.

That's my best guess on how it will end up resolved. Compromise on length/options more than money. Maybe a small $ bump just to save face for Duren's agent.
