Former Champions, Longest Droughts Draft - R1 - Mr Ringer vs Dr Positivity

Here is a quick list of what you need in your writeup.

1. Specific years for each player on your team
2. Rotations and minutes for each player
3. Reasoning as to why your team will win and/or why people should vote for you.

Do not vote in this thread until both managers have submitted their writeups. Once the writeups are posted, you may post a vote by commenting to this post (notice we will not be using a poll) - all participants of the draft are invited and encouraged to post a vote, so as other regular participants of the games in the forum. You are not required to explain your vote, but you are welcome to do so if you want.

First to 4 votes wins. If neither team reaches 4 votes within 24 hours of the matchup opening, the team with the most votes when voting closes wins. If the vote is tied when voting closes, we will decide the matchup via an AI tiebreaker, except when the host is playing in the matchup, in which case there is no AI vote.

If writeups aren't posted within 24 hours, we will vote solely based on the players they have drafted (and any rotations they have posted on their roster page).

C - Paul Reed (2023 - 3.0 FGA)

87.5 / 88

PG - Chris Paul (38) / George Hill (10)
SG - Mitch Richmond (32) / George Hill (16)
SF - Julius Erving (22) / Mario Elie (20) / Mitch Richmond (6)

C - Wes Unseld (38) / Paul Reed (8) / Jerry Lucas (2)

GL Mr Ringer

Defensive matchups - Erving on Oscar, Richmond on Miller, Paul on Battier, Lucas on Turner, Unseld on Webber

We try peak athleticism Erving on Oscar, noting we can cause him some troubles on the other end with Oscar/Reggie defense against Paul/Richmond backcourt.

Paul and Erving are two of the three best players in the series, and overall our starting 5 are all stars. Lucas is a floor stretch, Pick and pop friendly big, Oscar's best partner so Paul is one of the best modern fits with him, meanwhile being able to put his D on Turner also works for us. We have great passing with Unseld, Lucas, Erving and Paul. His bench is hig quality but Hill and Elie are also effective. Overall our big 2 gets us over the edge here.

Oscar Robertson 63’ - 16.9
Reggie Miller 98’ - 13.3
Shane Battier 09’ - 5.9
Chris Webber 02’ - 19.9
Myles Turner 22’ - 9.2
Andrew Nembhard 25’ - 7.7
Amen Thompson 25’ - 10.5
Theo Ratliff 05’ - 4.1
87.5/88

Oscar 38\Nembhard 10
Reggie 38\Nembhard 10
Battier 20\ Amen 28
Webber 38\Battier 10
Turner 35\Ratliff 13

Defensive assignments straight up
A solid all-around matchup, that sees Battier as the main defender, with Reggie and Oscar alongside him creating a versatile trio to cover for each other
Turner will be the main defender inside with Webber help and mobility with both of them against a problematic spacing system in Dr. P’s side

Offense is smooth as it gets
Three different guys who can score 40 every night and are nor stepping on each other toes, playmaking on a high level and historic shooters to complete the set
Webber is an excellent scorer and with Oscar leading the way and Reggie completing the big-3 my team have it all
