The good news it that West should be back later in the year. But we can't sustain this. We already have Kirk, Pleasants (those two are already slated to return), Martin, Hobbs, Stribling, Okuayinonu, and now West on IR. That's seven of eight possible "to return" spots.

Fair chance at this point that we don't re-activate Martin and Hobbs, barring injuries at those positions. Thankfully PUP returns don't count against the eight-man limit.

Are they going to carry Robinson and Thompson on the 53 while they recover from their high ankle sprains? If not, that is 2 more return candidates. I feel like they will have to carry at least one of those guys.

This is just insane. Only 2 games in, and potentially all of the IR return designations are spoken for.

At this point, he would have to have an incredible resurgence to get a fifth-year option. For a guy picked third, that's going to be in the ballpark of $30M, probably. He has what, one reception through two games?

Yeah so 49ers shouldn't give up many assets for him but certainly if he hit free agency, there will be several interested teams, just because of his pedigree.

Seems odd he hurt himself on a rest day. Leaning towards it being an extra rest day but we'll see.
