We should add John Patterson

He was just released from the Nats. He could be a low risk/high reward pitcher for us.

I'm sure we could easily sign him to a minor league deal, with the chance to fill the 4-5 spot if he shows promise.

What do you guys think?

I was shocked that he was let go.

I'd definitely take a risk on him......he'll certainly be affordable.

The risk vs reward is good in this case.

Ya never have too many pitchers.

I think he could be a nice cheap stopgap until guys like McGee or Price or Niemann or even Davis are ready.
