Nice way to start of the season with crap hole field conditions at Wrigley.

I like the "High near 58." They're being general by saying "High near," but then they whip out "58." "High near 60" just completely offbase for you people?

Tuesday looks stellar, too, just in case of a rainout. 40 and windy. YAY

I don't get why they wouldn't just schedule the Cubs to play in Milwaukee to start the season. The Brewers would finally have more fans than the Cubs at Miller Park for a change.

And the Cubs do not play the Red Sox or Yankees this year (not that I care)
Wouldn't MLB want a Cubs/Red Sox or Cubs/Yankees series this year to make money?
In 2003, that Yankees/Cubs series was the highlight of the year.

Yeah, but the Brewers have to play the Red Sox which is okay by me.

I'm happy about the schedule we got but it makes me wonder why MLB didn't set up a Cubs/Red Sox game at Fenway. It would have brought in a lot of attention and plenty of money. But I am not losing sleep over it. We get the Orioles and Rays this Summer :D

The Rays will take 2 of 3 from us. I'm calling that right now.

The Ernie banks statue is on the Clark side of Wrigley, and they have a new brick wall visible with benches attached.

Hey now...we play the Jays too. Anyone who wants to visit a foreign country and watch the Cubs has my couch for the weekend.

Oh yeah, I forgot about the Blue Jays series in Toronto.

Here is the updated forecast for tomorrow and it still looks bleak:
Monday: Occasional showers and thunderstorms. High near 59. Breezy, with a north northeast wind 5 to 10 mph becoming south between 15 and 20 mph. Winds could gust as high as 30 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%.

So what is the batting order? I assume it's all **** up with Soriano batting first and Fukudome batting fifth or something?

I think it is:
Theriot
Soriano
Lee
Aramis
Fukudome
Soto
DeRosa
Pie
Zambrano

Not sure if Soto and DeRosa were flip-flopped
