Thanks for the contribution! For future reference we do series threads, so this will become the one for our opening series.

Jays are part of history here as well. The last season opener at Yankee Stadium.

Heh, that reminded me...there's a website where you can input the OBP and SLG% of your starting line-up, and it will give you the optimal run-producing batting order. Ours vs. righties was (if I remember correctly):

1. Frank Thomas
2. Scott Rolen
3. Aaron Hill
4. Matt Stairs
5. Lyle Overbay
6. Vernon Wells
7. Alex Rios
8. Gregg Zaun
9. David Eckstein

I rarely post on either the Raptors board or here anymore, but I'm very excited for opening day (weather pending) today!

At this rate I might be able to catch some of the game by the time i get home. I just hope it doesn't get cancelled altogether.

Another important impact is that this changes the future starting pitchers for next week. With a days rest tomorrow, Halliday would have been out there to pitch for the 5th game of the season against Boston, skipping over Listch's first start. If everything is a go tomorrow night, the Jays wont be able to run Doc out there in place of Jesse after all.
