Favorite Braves moment?

Post#1 » by Wade3Iverson » Mon Apr 2, 2007 7:08 am

For me it was when Andruw Jones (my fav player) hit two homeruns in his first two at bats in the 1996 World Series. Oh man, that was exciting.

Too bad we lost that series, blowing a 2-0 lead.

Oh yeah, no picking the year we won the WS.

Wade3Iverson,

Mine would be just going to the games with family and most of all friends. When I go with my friends I always seem to have a blast.

I got a ton of them, my most recent one was when McCann hit that homer off of the Rocket to essentially win that game in the playoffs, just absolutely incredible..

The scene I'll never forget is slowpoke Sid Bream chugging around third, trying to beat the throw home to send the Braves to the '92 World Series. I was in elementary school at the time and had class the next day, but I was up watching it and I went crazy. My dad was downstairs watching it, and he was just as excited.

Also Nixon and "The Catch" back in '92 to help the Braves tie their franchise best for most wins in a row. I actually went to the game the next day, it was my first game ever (I have family in Atlanta). Unfortunately, they lost 3-1 if I remember correctly.

Grissom catching the final out in the '95 World Series as well.

yeah, it's gotta be Francisco Cabrera's hit that brought in sid bream from 2nd in that NLCS against the Pirates.

....but "fly ball to center, Grissom's under it, he's got it, AND THE BRAVES WIN THE WORLD SERIES" is quite nice too :D

A couple years ago when Mike Hampton was healty and he threw a complete game 2 hit shutout and also hit a homerun in the 8th inning. I cant tell you who it was against i want to say the Rockies but i dont remember. the final score was 16-0. my sister, her b/f at the time, my wife at the time and myself were sitting in left field for that game. one of my favorite memories.

It's got to be 1992 Sid Bream, and Tom Glavine gem of a game in Game 6 of the 1995 World Series.
