After a dissapointing shoutout loss to the Washington Nationals, the Braves look to rebound as the Marlins and DTrain come to town. Florida has lost two in a row entering tonights game and the Bravos look to keep that streak going.

Go Braves!

Starter Mark Redman (0-1, 7.94) will look to help Atlanta bounce back in Friday's opener. He made his Braves debut last Friday, allowing five runs and nine hits in 5 2-3 innings of an 11-1 loss to the New York Mets.

Return of Braves rekindles thoughts of 1991 season

Time passes, but the thrill of 1991 remains. I believe that will be the case 10, 20, 30 years from now. The 1991 Braves will always be fun to reminisce about.

We're definitely going to need our bats tonight. I'm going into the game assuming we need at least 5 to win.

You have to prove yourself...imagine that! What's the world coming to?

Or have you forgotten that you finished 16+ games out last year?

Power rankings are completely useless. But I guess the Mets fans need something.

what does "last year" have to do with anything? I remember MANY times we won the division and received NO love the following season. Sometimes even being predicted to finish last. LOL

We don't need a damn thing. We are the 97 game winning division champs. The East is ours until somebody takes it! Just like it was yours until we took it from you!

I guess winning the division one year out of 15 means the world to you. How cute.

All that matters is what you've done lately. Must be a southern thing for men to use the word "cute"

I wouldn't be upset at all if Redman never throws another pitch for the Braves. The rest of our starters have been so good this year, then you look at what he's done.

Smoltz, Hudson, James and Davies have given up a total of 11 runs in 51.2 innings.

Redman has given up 12 runs in 8.1 innings.

Move your eyes up a little bit and tell me what the subject of this thread is.

In case your vision is a little blurry, it's a gamethread, not flaunt the latest weekly power rankings.

Good job derailing the thread. Idiot.

We're fine when we don't have Scrubman pitching. Hudson with his third straight dominant outing. It wasn't as pretty today, but he pitched out of trouble. This is the Oakland Hudson we thought we were getting.
