Starter Mark Redman (0-1, 7.94) will look to help Atlanta bounce back in Friday's opener. He made his Braves debut last Friday, allowing five runs and nine hits in 5 2-3 innings of an 11-1 loss to the New York Mets.

I wouldn't be upset at all if Redman never throws another pitch for the Braves. The rest of our starters have been so good this year, then you look at what he's done.

Smoltz, Hudson, James and Davies have given up a total of 11 runs in 51.2 innings.

Redman has given up 12 runs in 8.1 innings.

We're fine when we don't have Scrubman pitching. Hudson with his third straight dominant outing. It wasn't as pretty today, but he pitched out of trouble. This is the Oakland Hudson we thought we were getting.
