A few reasons. First the Mariners have no idea what to do with him; they still think he can be a legitimate middle-of-the rotation starter but they also think he can become a dominant reliever out of the pen. Since they have no idea where he profiles best, they sent him down to work on his control and to perfect his secondary pitches. He

I would take our offense over SF but I still don't like our lineup at all.

Sexson averages about a K a game and makes no contact at all. He should be the #5 hitter behind Ibanez and Beltre.

We still had a chance to win the game but the bullpen really sucked down the stretch. We need Morrow back in relief.

Semi-disappointing loss yesterday. Rangers practically handed us the game with Felix playing great all-around. JJ would get that save more times then not, so I can take that. The 9th inning would've been better if someone could've gotten on since we all know Yuni's clutch. And hopefully Wilkerson does get better on the road, he's playing no good so far.

I don't know if you're thinking it was a trade, but we signed Wilkerson as a FA, and traded Broussard to Texas for some prospect.

Probably, it'll suck not having Putz closing though.

So, the all anticipated Carlos Silva start. Hopefully Jennings' bad season last year will help this year.

Had to bring this up btw (our old friend Adam Jones):

Three innings in, and Silva looks pretty good.

Silva's been solid so far, only a HR through 6 innings. The offense starting to cook up some things as they should be facing the Rangers' pitching staff.

John McLaren is how. Thank god he's in his last year of his contract. I still wouldn't mind a turnaround from Sexson. Funny thing is Beltre is still batting behind him.

Give him some time. I think you get him on the road, away from the boo birds at home and he will come around. I am more concerned about Putz on the DL, and giving away that 2nd game vs the Rangers. I will say though our Starters are looking very good right now.

The injury doesn't seem too big. He hurt himself on the previous pitch before the pitch that he gave the HR on. I think he'll be fine when he gets back.
