per rotoworld:
The Blue Jays expect B.J. Ryan to miss 4-6 weeks due to a strained ligament in his left elbow.
Ryan avoids Tommy John surgery for now, but that still may be a possibility if he doesn't recover as hoped. Jason Frasor is set to occupy the closer's role in his absence. Shaun Marcum and Victor Zambrano are the fallbacks.

It will be interesting to see if because of these injuries we end up out of it by August. Interesting because J.P. always has an excuse to why the Jays never win year after year with him there. it's funny that he was crowing about finishing 2nd last year but it more due to the Bosox being decimated by injuries and the Jays backed into 2nd. It wasn't like the Yanks didn't have injuries last year and they are already missing a couple of starters already this year.
