Pick 2 out of these 3

Post#1 » by ChronicKerr » Wed Apr 16, 2008 3:50 pm

I'm in a 12 team roto league and am looking to pick up one of the following 3 players:

Matt Kemp
Jacoby Ellsbury
Kevin Youkilis

I'm dead last in average and need help in RBI as well as HR. Which of these three players would you pick up? Please Rank 1-3. Thanks.

Youk and Kemp.
Tough call, but Kemp #1 probably.

Youk is a bad idea. His numbers aren't exceptional for his position and he fades in the second half of the season. Kemp is probably the best this year out of the group but Ellsbury should have a full-time job soon and depending on your needs he could be the most valuable (if you want SB and runs). So, it really depends on what you're looking for but I'd actually go with one of the outfielders over Youk.

Ellsbury and Kemp.

Ellsbury will get you 35-50 steals, 100 runs and he'll hit for a high average. Youkilis will get more RBI and 5-6 more HR, though. If you're completely set at SB I guess get Youkilis and trade him in July before he breaks down.
