Arroyo didn't look very sharp out there last night as the reds flirted with getting shutout once again. The best opportunity the Reds had was in the bottom of the 8th inning. Trailing 5-0 and only having 2 hits as a team up until this point of the game, the Reds somehow managed to load the bases with no outs, but failed to get a runner over the plate.
In the 9th we did score a couple of runs and had enough ducks on the pond with the tie comming from the guy at the plate, but no luck would come our way as Gagne came in to close us down.
Hopefully, the 2 runs late will provide some momentum today.
Brandon Phillips made the top 10 plays of the day on ESPN 3rd on the list with 1,2,3 nice plays in the field with his glove.

Game 2 of the Series: Brewer 5 Reds 3
Losing pitcher: David weathers lost it in the 10th and left with an arm injury.
Cueto bounced back from his bad outing with a solid performance. He only gave up 2 earned runs in 7 innings. He recaptured the National League lead in K's for the moment, getting 5 on the day, and 29 overall in 4 starts.
Kepp got a hit, it seems like he is the only guy in the lineup you can rely on to get on base consistantly
Votto went yard.
The Reds were only able to muster up 4 hits in 10 innings. The offense just hasn't come around yet this year.
Patterson was once again penciled in the lead off spot and once again went 0-4 dropping his season avg. to .196
This will be the 3rd series in a row that we are faced with a sweep, the pirates got one on us, we lucked out against the cubs, will we get lucky tomorrow and avoid it again?

It is hard to watch at times, but I keep thinking there has to be a breakout game comming. There is to much firepower on the club for it not to happen at some point. Who is our hitting coach? I will have to look that up.
