I hope the bats come to life tonight and everyone in the order produces in some way, shape, or form.

Belisle might have grown a little goatee to change his look, but he is the same guy I remember from seasons past. He still gives up Home Runs to leadoff hitters to start the game. I don't know why he has such a history of this, but he does.

The leadoff man (Furcal) went yard and the next guy doubles. After that, Belisle finished the inning up strong.

reds first inning:
Freel 0-1 strikeout
Phillips 0-1 popped up to short right
Griffey Jr. 1-1 singles to right
Dunn 0-1Popped up to short center

after 2 Dodgers 3 Reds 0

Top of the 3rd Belisle is still getting hammered, single and a double to start it.

2nd and 3rd no outs. single to drive them both in 5-0 Dodgers and still no outs. Meanwhile Fogg is warming up in the pen :banghead: Andruw Jones struck out. 1 out. Bako throws out an attempt at a stolen base. 2 outs. Grounder to short for out number 3.

So, after 3 innings of work Belisle is still the same old Belisle we have always seen. 5-0 them. Does this team even care about winning?

Bottom of the third and back around to the top of the order.

Freel draws a walk, but gets caught trying to steal second. What a bad time to run we are struggling to get runners on base and when we do we need to keep them on there to try to get a rally going.

Phillips popped up to short right again. Griffey hit it hard but right at the 1st baseman. 1,2,3.

5-0 them after 3.

I have had enough for the night.

I couldn't turn it off. We managed to get a run across in the bottom of the 5th off back to back doubles by Edwin and Bako. Patterson pinch hits, dribbler to first runner advances to 3rd, Freel goes down on 3 pitches swinging (anything besides the strikeout gets another run in) 2 outs.

In major league baseball we are dead last at .111 with runners in scoring position and 2 outs, so with Phillips up there and hearing that stat I don't like the odds of the run scoring  He didn't didn't drive it in, he struck out to end the inning.

after 5 innings: Dodgers 7 Reds 1 :noway:

Fogg comes in to start the 6th. First pitch hits a batter, second pitch to the next batter a 480 foot blast to left center. 9-1 Dodgers no outs. The next 3 batters went 1,2,3 with 2 k's.

Dusty will be gone by the all-star break if this keeps up

Bottom of the 6th Griffey gets the 1st out, Dunn reaches on a broken play at first, Keppinger is up 3-2 count base hit up the middle (this guy can flat out hit).

1st and 2nd with 1 out. Votto is up and hits into the double play to end the inning.

9-1 after 6

The final score was 9-3. I don't know how we got the second run, but the third run came off of a blast by Votto, and I mean a blast giving him 4 on the year and tied with patterson (only 4 hits I think) for the team lead in this category.
