Pauley back down, obviously. Hope Hansen stays up for good. He's just so much better than Timlin and Lopez. Gronkiewicz is next. Can't wait.

Five e-bucks says Hansen walks more than he Ks during his call up.

You're on. At least a 3:1 K:BB for the season.

3/0 K/BB tonight. He did get the loss, however.

Masterson is getting the nod tomorrow afternoon against the Angels.

edit: Apparently, Hansen gets sent down:
Craig Hansen will be optioned back to Pawtucket to make room for Masterson, who was scheduled to start Thursday for Portland.

I thought Hansen was good, despite the loss. Filthy slider tonight.

That was a fat pitch he threw up there for the homer, but otherwise was excellent. I'll take my 5 ebucks however you would like to give them to me.

Masterson is going to be so utterly brilliant on Thursday. It's going to be epic. Clay Buchholz perfect game type epic. Everyone must watch this game. So Masterson would be the sixth rookie to play this season? Buchholz, Ellsbury, Pauley, Lowrie, Hansen and now Masterson? Hansen might not count if you count time on the active roster, but he's still a rookie if you go by innings pitched.

I am the luckiest kid on earth. I won a 2008 Ford Escape in a raffle, pretty good first car. I was at Jacoby Ellsbury's debut last year. Now of course i will be at Justin Masterson's debut this year. I am on fire right now. I dont have season tickets, my dad just buys random ones off ebay and stub hub.

OK what? Hansen doesn't count? OK, five then. Whatever, didn't mean to offend your hardnosed line on rookie eligibility.

I should have known better; he was facing the Angels. They of the worse walk rate in the league.

He may be good, but it is his 1st start and its not against the Giants. I will be quite happy if he gets into the 7th inning with 3 ER allowed. After all he is only 22. At this point, I think Bartolo Colon is more likely to pitch more innings for us this year than Justin.

And one "good" outing from Hansen does not a reclamation make. Lets see some real results from these guys until we pronounce them stars. That being said, its nice to see that few if none of the guys promoted by the team since and including Papelbon have been busts.

Nah, Masterson is a stud. Brandon Webb II. He's going back to AA after this start, so yeah Colon will pitch more innings.

Masterson has such a weird delivery and arm angle/s for a white guy. Methinks he's really Japanese. How the hell he gets it over the plate, I'll never know.

Lucky for you, unlucky for the Sox. We lost both games

Thanks a lot :nonono:
