Four extra-base hits? The Jays hadn't managed that many since the 11-3 win over Baltimore...twelve games ago.

Meanwhile, Rios is mashing out there; the home runs aren't coming yet, but he's posting an OPS of ~.900 regardless, which will certainly do until he starts hitting bombs on a regular basis.

Didn't watch the game, but any reason why BJ didn't pitch the 9th for a save opportunity?

Carlson pitched a very effective and short 8th so the gave him the 9th too, gave BJ a little day off and played it conservative with a 3 run lead

I'm still confused... his last outing was on the 24th, a while ago, so he was still fresh.... I just don't know why they brought him to pitch the entire 8th when it was 3-2, and then gave it to Carlson for the 9th
