kennedy does not have AL east stuff
Phil is a #3, not a ace as some say....no control, no reliable 3rd pitch

I think Kennedy can be a solid 3. Phil is a top of the rotation guy, you saw it last year with the near no-hitter, the great September and then the fantastic showing in the playoffs. You weren't saying this last year. Let's see what happens we he comes back. Maybe he has been hurt for longer than he is letting on.
When the hell did Ramon Santiago become Derek Jeter circa 1998? This season watching the Yankees makes me feel like I'm watching the Knicks with some scrub or the other killing us every single night. Like Aaron Laffey putting up a no-hitter through 5 innings, that SS from Chicago, now this guy. -Jitpal

kandi will be OK, he is doing his usual overreacting.... I mean, he wouldn't be Kandi without it.... I think kennedy is a #3 guy and phil can be an ace. we are talking about 21 and 23 year old guys.. LOL. geez, give them a break kandi..
Jitpal wrote:We really need a spark. To at least be competitive in these games. The Yankees just look overmatched in every game that Wang doesn't pitch. I think it is because the starting pitchers are struggling, the injuries, the weather, and the guys that are in prolonged slumps. Maybe that spark is Brett Gardner, maybe someone else, but they need to do something. -Jitpal

this is what happens when you bury a quarter of a billion dollars in one player. he gets hurt and guess what? For some reason, the past few offseasons we fail to address key issues.. bullpen, and outfield.. and first base... I mean with a 200+ mil payroll we could not get a young and improving first baseman, an outfielder and a solid set up guy so joba could move into the starters role..

I think we just have too much money invested in guys who can't play anymore. For some reason, either it's ego or some twisted reasoning of fiscal responsibility those guys are still trotted out there to play. Damon and Giambi come to mind. We should have better players in LF and 1B. Time will tell if Posada, Mo and Arod will work out. I think they stick with guys who are done a little too long. I honestly think we have the best bullpen we have had in years. I just think most of the guys are either overworked or misused. 8th/9th were set. We have Rasner for that long man role. Ohelendorf, Hawkins and Farnsworth for the 6th and 7th. Albaladejo for everything in between. It's pretty good. -Jitpal
