The Jacque Jones Watch Thread (Signed by Reds)

Post#1 » by SportsWorld » Sat Dec 29, 2007 7:27 pm

Figured we needed a thread for the 2008 season to watch our favorite player try and hit a home run in the biggest ballpark in the majors.

Go Jacque!

First off, any predictions?
I say he hits .275 with 1 home run and 59 RBI's

Come on he'll hook like 2 homers down the line in RF. What would be a worse park for him, Comerica or Petco?

Petco because Jacque is a lefty and they "Bondsproofed" that park.

I bet he'll hit 20 home runs and make Cubs fans look like idiots for hating him and trading him for nothing. Go JJ!

I've been in mourning ever since we traded JJ.... :noway:

Good start for Jacque Jones so far. He is an amazing 0-7 with 3 K's on the 0-2 Detroit Tigers.

Guy sucks.

I give it 4 more weeks before he is on the bench for good.

If he works a little harder he might start putting up Soriano numbers!

(Sorry, bitter about our 0-2 start)

Jacque started off 0-13 in Chicago. He's making the same great first impression with Detroit. Congratulations Jacque!

Detroit Cuts Jacque Jones
5th May, 2008 - 5:07 pm
AP - Jacque Jones was cut by the Tigers on Monday, who had promised a lineup shakeup going into a homestand against the Red Sox and Yankees.

The Tigers designated Jones for assignment and have 10 days to trade the outfielder, put him on unconditional release waivers, or send him outright to the minors, as reported by the Associated Press. [READ]

That lasted 4 weeks.

Come back to Chicago, Jacque! Well maybe the White Sox could use some center field help.

If treyZz were here he would undoubtedly make a nice comment to Jacque.
