dal/sonics solid role players

Post#1 » by thaAteam » Tue Jan 1, 2008 5:14 am

mavs trade
jj barea
mo ager

mavs get
delonte west

sonics trade
delonte west

sonics get
mo ager
jj barea

why for dallas
they still need a swingman that can be strong at the 2 guard and defend, west would be excellent in the mavs system, he plays solid d and would be either the starter at two or be a great addition of the bench.

why for seattle
they have been actively shopping delonte and he doesnt seem to fit in their rebuilding plans, hes not a pg and with all their swing men they can let him go. they have also been shopping luke and watson so jj would be a solid backup pg in seattle. when devin harris was out he started and played great. also mo ager is a scoring two who wont get any minutes in dallas be would be solid for a rebuilding team, thoughts??????????

I think this is both swayed in Dallas' favor (trade value wise due to Barea's lack of PT even though Barea may be as good as West talent wise) and un-needed as West would not get any playing time (same as Ager & Barea).

My thought is that you haven't been following the Sonics very closely.

You must have a different pipeline to the Sonics Gm because no other Sonics fan on any of the various forums I always go to have ever said they have heard they are actively shopping Delonte West, ever.

no, in fact pj is trying to figure out how to best use him. most sonics fans feel he can be a very effective combo guard off the bench. others feel he could be the starting point guard. but bottom line, no one has indicated west is beign shoped or does not fit into their rebuilding plans. what is your source? i would have to say no for seattle.
Don't act like you're not impressed.

Even if we'd be shopping Delonte West(which we aren't), we'd be looking for something better then Barea and Ager.

Sonics pass on this one.
