I don't think the rockets will lose another game straight through the NBA finals.

Are the top-3 seeds still the division winners?

The 2 best records can be 1 and 2. But all 3 division winners must be in the top 4 no matter what.

I still think Golden State can get more than 44 wins.

Last season, Golden State had a record of 42-40 but they only had 12 wins on the road for the whole season. This season, they already have 11 road wins. Also, the Golden State team that you saw in the 2007 Playoffs only got to play 21 games together in the regular season. Those 21 games were the last games of the season with the toughest remaining schedule in the league. They had a 16-5 record throughout those 21 games. So who knows how good that Golden State team could have been if they got to play at least 60 games together, instead of just 21.

The whole seeding thing is too hard for me to predict. Because you never know which teams will get hot and which teams will collapse. New Orleans is playing great basketball right now and I think they can definitely keep it up for the whole season. The Jazz are out of the playoffs right now, but they're still a team capable of winning a bunch of games. Portland's 13 game winning streak ended, but it's not like they're going to start losing a huge amount of games now because of that.

Damn the West is stacked. lol.

I would be dissapointed with a 48-34 record but that would be a path to the WCF with Denver and then Phoenix/Golden State either of which we can beat.

My Western Conference Predictions

1. San Antonio Spurs 58-24
2. Dallas Mavericks 56-26
3. Los Angeles Lakers 55-27
4. Denver Nuggets 50-32
5. Phoenix Suns 54-28
6. New Orleans Hornets 53-29
7. Utah Jazz 51-31
8. Golden State Warriors 48-34

Playoffs

Spurs beat Warriors 4-2
Suns beat Nuggets 4-3
Lakers beat Hornets 4-2
Mavs beat Jazz 4-2

Spurs beat Suns 4-2
Lakers beat Mavs 4-3

Spurs beat Lakers 4-3

Call me a homer, but I just don't think Houston will be on vacation come playoff time. Perhaps a first round exit, but a lottery team? I don't see that happening, even in the West.

Probably for like the first 2 games. But then after that Phoenix will finally find out how to fully utilize Stoudemire and Marion on the smaller Warriors frontline.

I can't see GS missing the playoffs. Their hardest schedule part is already over, and are still in the playoffs.

How dear you. You incompotent monster(not what I reall wanted to say, but you get the point). I can't believe that you have the hornets sitting right behind San Antonio and ahead of Phoenix. On top of that you have the Lakers and Warriors out of the playoffs. Then on top of that you have THREE TEAMS from the Southwest division in the TOP FOUR. I'll correct your errors, thats what were here for.

1.Spurs
2.Suns
3.Lakers
4.Portland
5.Mavericks
6.Hornets
7.Warriors
8.Jazz

Spurs over the Jazz in 5

Lakers over the Warriors in 5

So the Nuggets are going to go from division champ front-runners to completely out of the playoffs?
