And the Jazz do this why?

To get an undersized 33 year old Center who is owed close to $30 mil over the next 2 seasons and is having his worst season in a while?

Nocioni is a interesting pick for the Jazz, but we already have Korver and Harpring, what is Nocioni going to give us that those 2 can't?

There's absolutely no reason for the Jazz to do this trade........

the Jazz would do this deal because they desperately need interior defense (Wallace), a back up point guard (Duhon), and if you have Korver at the 2 and Nocioni at the 3 starting and opening up the inside for Boozer, that would be one terrific team.

Yeah, I don't like this for Utah either. Wallace is just not playing well enough. (I know Okur isn't either, but if you've got guys struggling, might as well keep the cheaper, younger one ;) )

And I like Nocioni, but wouldn't trade Kirilenko to get him either.

Wouldn't do Wallace for Okur straight up, then Kirilenko for Noccioni and Duhon? No thanks.

we don't need any offense from the center position if we have a line-up that has Williams, Korver, Nocioni, and Boozer.

The idea of trading for Memo for defensive help is fine, and probably necessary. The problem is that Wallace's contract would prohibit the Jazz from re-signing 3 or 4 of the following 4 Jazzmen: Deron Williams, Paul Milsap, Ronnie Brewer, CJ Miles and either Almond or Fes, if either are any good either next year or the year after next. This isn't just about trading Memo for Big Ben, it's in essence trading Memo and likely letting go of Brewer and Milsap because of Big Ben's contract. I hope the Jazz never even consider this....

Jazz say no, Wallace's contract is just way too bad.
