I hope not. I was quite disappointed with two drafts in a row with the picking of Bargs and Georgio. :nonono: Raps Scouts need to be scouting more in America or Canada. Honestly, we should give some of our Canadian guys a chance. BRinging in International players is just a slap in the face for these guys. Lot of talent comes from Toronto and Montreal. Guys like Dalembert, Brown , Magloire. We should not be ignoring these guys to be honest with you. A lot of them have "hidden talent" like Jose has. When he first came here, I was like who the heck is this guy, he sux.

I doubt u ever seen Giorgos Printezis play, he could be a sleeper for all we know. Why would we need to scout more in Canada?? I'm sure the raps are aware of the young Canadian talents like Sacre, Ashaolu, Cadougan, Joseph, likely only the first two have nba potential. Dalembert is the only player worthy of gettin but has a hefty contract and at what cost? Magloire, no thanks, Humphries is better than him, and Denham Brown doesn't offer anythin that the raps don't already have; I would actually prefer Olu Famutimi over him

Brandon Rush in the 1st round, maybe somebody like Joey Dorsey in the 2nd, if we even have 2nd rounder this year. I can't remember where that list of owed draft picks is.

Haven't you learned anything from your own experience with Jose. You already made your judgements that he sucked before seeing him only because he was a Euro player. Turns out you were wrong. You would think you would learn from this and stop judging players just because they aren't from your beloved NA.

Dalembert, Magloire were not available in recent drafts. Dalembert is on a huge contract and plays for another NBA team. You point to those three as comparison for hidden talent but none of them is really doing much. Two are basically out of the NBA. Dalembert is the only one in the league having any impact.

Well, I guess after seeing one play, I can assume he is the answer to all this teams needs.

Honestly, these selective montages are why Bargnani was so overhyped during his draft year.

Yeah, because NBA scouts need to watch those clips to evaluate a player...

Can't you balance out the clips between good and bad plays so atleast ignorant posters on this board (i.e myself) have a more realistic expectation?

It's hard to find a mix showing bad plays by a single player... take them for what they are: just highlight mixes.

I just hope that this time around BC will actually give NA prospects a chance.

is this a joke? I certainly hope it is.

--added--

Draft 2006
Selected forwards Andrea Bargnani (1st overall pick), PJ Tucker (35th overall pick)

Draft 2005
Selected guard Nate Robinson (21st overall pick) and center Marcin Gortat (57th overall pick).
Traded guard Quentin Richardson and the draft rights to guard Nate Robinson to the New York Knicks for forward Kurt Thomas and the draft rights to forward Dijon Thompson

Draft 2004
Selected forward Luol Deng (7th overall pick).
Acquired the draft rights to forward Jackson Vroman, a future first-round pick and cash considerations from the Chicago Bulls for the draft rights to forward Luol Deng.

Draft 2003
Selected forward Zarko Cabarkapa (17th overall pick).
Traded a future first-round pick to the San Antonio Spurs for the draft rights to guard Leandrinho Barbosa.

Draft 2002
Selected forward Amare Stoudemire (9th overall pick) and guard Casey Jacobsen (22nd overall pick).

Draft 2001
Selected forward Alton Ford (51st overall pick).

Draft 2000
Selected center Iakovos Tsakalidis (25th overall pick)

Draft 1999
Selected forward Shawn Marion (9th overall pick).

Draft 1998
Traded guard Steve Nash to the Dallas Mavericks for forwards Martin Muursepp and Bubba Wells, the draft rights to forward Pat Garrity and a 1999 first-round draft pick (Shawn Marion).

Draft 1997
Selected guard Stephen Jackson (43rd overall pick).

Draft 1996
Selected guard Steve Nash (15th overall pick) and forwards Russ Millard (39th overall pick) and Ben Davis (43rd overall pick).

Draft 1995
Selected guard Michael Finley (21st overall pick) and forwards Mario Bennett (27th overall pick) and Chris Carr (56th overall pick).

So, through the draft Colangelo has taken:

Micheal Finley (21st overall), Steve Nash (15th overall), Stephen Jackson (43rd overall), Shawn Marion (9th overall), Amare Stoudemire (9th overall) and Leo Barbosa (taken 28th overall)

Sure he's whiffed a few, but show me a GM that hasn't.

in 1995 the only decent players taken after 27 were Greg Ostertag and Eric Snow

in 1996 the only decent players taken after 39 were Malik Rose and Shandon Anderson

in 2000 the only good player taken after 25 was Mike Redd, only decent players taken after 25 were Mark Madsen, Primo Brezec, Marko Jaric, Eddie House, Ed Najera and out of that bunch not many are clearly better than Big Jake was.

in 2001 the only decent player taken after 51 was Jarron Collins

in 2002 he did miss out on a few good players after 21: Tayshawn Prince, Nenad Kristic, Boozer, John Salmons and some decent players that could be argued to be better than Jacobson: Gadzuric, Flip Murray, Matt Barnes, Darius Songaila, Rasul Butler

in 2003 he scored with Barbosa, but whiffed on Cabarkaba. With the 17th pick he passed on: David West, Sasha Pavolic, Boris Diaw, Travis Outlaw, Carlos Delfino, Kendrick Perkins, Josh Howard.

Joey Dorsey would be a nice 2nd round pick, like his attitude!

I also like Batum but would prefer Gallinari!

Interesting? Apparently has a higher vertical than any of the players drafted in the 2007 draft, and at 6' 10" thats impressive. A decent shot blocker and can even drop the odd three?

Maybe worth keeping an eye on.

I'm starting to think we should start to stray away from the Euro pick. They are good players but are more glue guys as opposed to bonifide stars. This isn't a slight at Bargs I just think the talent pool in Europe isn't big enough to get a true player assessment. I sincerely hope we draft a legit SF who can slash and score.

I have a feeling Bryan Colangelo will move up in the draft. Like say if there is a guy he is targeting and he happens to fall, I think he'll move up in the draft. Our pick looks like it'll be pretty low. Maybe he packages the pick along w/ a player to a team that wants to move down in the draft, like a Chicago or some team like that.

IMO he is like a younger Jamario Moon except with more low post game.

What would it take to get DeAndre Jordan? He's probably Top 5. In my opinion he is what we are missing. And I know this will never happen, but if we could get him.....*dreams*

http://www.nbadraft.net/admincp/profile ... ordan.html

For those who aren't familiar

And if we can't get DeAndre, try Roy Hibbert or Hasheem Thabeet

Or...if they plan on not trading, then we need to draft Serge Ibaka.
