That trade is awesome for Miami; they get the best backcourt in the league. Bulls trade away a 20ppg scorer and a pretty good, cheap backup PG for a good but not great, almost-32-year-old pg to play alongside a pretty good but not great combo guard (Kirk) and a draft pick. No offense intended, truly, but:
puuuuuke.

You forgot that we also get Daequan Cook in addition to our mid first rounder from Miami ( maybe better )
Fact is we don't have a genuine point guard that is up to snuff to be a starter . Andre Miller is . And the thinking is that Kirk is more a Rip Hamilton off the ball/screens type where I believe he could be a much better scorer . Defensively , a Miller/Hinrich backcourt is tighter than a Nun's nasty.
Miller is a much better scorer than Duhon, can break down and create better which opens things up better for Noah, Thomas and Deng
Cook , with maturity and minutes , IMO , will end up being a 20ppg scorer in his own right . Everything I see of this guy screams out Michael Redd to me . In another season or so everyone will be creaming their jocks to get him
Yes it's a win for Miami now and Ben Gordon will flourish with a backcourt partner like Wade and vice versa. But I reckon we will make out OK even if Cook ends up 80% of Michael Redd and we get a mid 1st round draft pick to boot
I like the balance of our team better with these trades rather than one on one comparisons as most people fall into the trap of when considering trade scenarios plus I believe Miller is > than Duhon ( by a margin and in a position /skillset of real need ) and Cook and a mid 1st rounder , will in short time , equal or surpass Ben Gordon
