Two things I could see resulting in a T'wolves win:

1. Which Wolves team is going to come out to play? Minnesota has lost a lot of games, but in the games they won (I.E. Phoenix) they have been impressive. I think it depends which team shows up for the Wolves.

2. How the Blazers are handling the streak ending. Although throughout the streak the players have remained humble, having such a long period of good times coming to an end undoubtedly is going to affect them. How they respond to a loss is going to be an interesting test for this young team. If Portland comes out in the first quarter playing with a lack of confidence, Minnesota has a good shot at stealing this game.

Usually im not in favor of recycling these things either, but if this rivalry is to truly come to fruition, than I think we should just keep this thread going for all things involving Minnesota and/against Portland. Keep this thread all year.

Big Al vs LMA
Foye vs Roy
MIN Future vs. POR Future
Head-to-Head match ups.

If we get a star in the draft, then we can call this a rivalry, until then, Portland beats us 9/10 times.

I think once Foye comes back they only beat us 7 or 8 out of 10

Until Oden starts. Then we are back to 9 or 10 out of 10. I think we are Foye and at least one star away from having a competitive rivalry. We'll get there, though.

Portland then has the opportunity to win this game though they might not have played well for the first 3 quarters.

Damn, 2 hours? I haven't been keeping up with the game times since i'm sick of watching this team being blown out. I probably won't be here to commentate with you guys, good luck wolves; McCants, Brewer and Al to have good games, you heard it here first!

It is a new year

and the vikings are dead....

We wonder what the Wolves have for the new year..

So while we are building a foundation

Image

and learning who the core parts will be

Image

It can always be fun to develop a rivalry along the way..

Image

And they beat us last time, and will finish with more wins then us, continuing to talk and talk and talk about roy vs foye and LMA vs Al, so lets take this chance now to stop the talk and steal a game.

Image

Key to the game...

and the continued great play of Ryan Gomes

Bassy continues to grow and play as a vet

and Corey gains more confidence

and the pack needs to be intense.

Limit the

and

Perhaps we can have some happy wolves

Nice thread..I'm back early. I was supposed to spend the evening with my girl, but she has to work overtime, she got me a gift before she went back to work that I wanted all Christmas, but wasn't able to get. I love that girl..

anyway, almost game time, let's go wolves! Complete my day!

Man, if there is any team we should have issues with it is Portland. The roy/foye stuff is really annoying, and the man-crush on LMA is getting there also. I wish Foye was there tonight, but we will need to wait. Lets hope that Big Al leaves LMA crying.

We have our secret weapon also...

I am interested with this. Doleac has a nice high post game which could clear some space for Al. Problem is Doleac is not much of a defensive player

he takes 15 ft jumpers in the 4th quarter when the game is on the line and it hasn't been shots very late in the shot clock
