off topic, but speaking of FT's...i wish we could get the arena to go completely silent while the opponent is at the stripe...i've never seen that before and i think it would be more nerve racking than making a ton of noise, something they always hear...

funny you mention that...i always wondered what would happen but i guess they'd just make it because it'd be like they were in practice.

maybe make everyone get loud and quiet fast at the same time and do some college like chants throughout the game.

I love that Dwight has won it for the second time already this season... but oh my did Brandon Roy just got spit in the face or what? :dontknow: No way Chris Paul should've been player of the month over him IMO.

No question about here on the East in my opinion. Dwight has averaged numbers back to back that put him in the same sentence as Wilt and Barkley.

Magic All Time players of the Month:

Anfernee Hardaway (1: 1995)

This is the 2nd time Dwight has won back to back players of the month (last month of 05-06 season and first month of 06-07 season) he is the only Magic player to ever win the award in back to back months.

Note: in 2001-02 the NBA started naming two players of the month (East/West), prior to that only one player was honoured.

wow, what a great honor for dwight, no reason his name should not be in the mvp talk
on a side note his trade value has never been higher so maybe we can get NY to trade us David Lee straight up all though we might have to throw in Turk to spice up the deal

We're only two months into the season. Even so, Dwight deserves the award x3 at this point ;)

David Lee is untouchable on the Knicks roster. Word on the street is Lee is gonna get a contract so huge it will blow all the "your momma's so fat" jokes away!

Well Dwight had 16pts , 12 rebs and 7 blocks on Oct 31st.

I think that was clearly deserving of PotM for Oct

The new thing to do on opponents FT's is total silence.

Then, just a split second before the release, the entire crowd yells " HA".

I've seen this work at high school games. It's only a matter of time until it hits a campus.

Noise and thunder sticks have no impact.

I've often thought about that. What's worse it seems, is that people are clapping those inflatable batons and making a beat. I think the rhythms are actually helping opponents get into a rhythm in their shots.

Before putting Dwight in sentences with anyone, did you just put Barkley in the same sentence as Wilt?????
