Chris Mihm is out 3-4 weeks

Not sure if this has been mentioned, but per LA Times and wiretap the guy is gone for 3-4 weeks. Good thing we got Kwame back, then again its not like we got anything out of Mihm at all this season. The guy has been useless even when he got playing time. Looks like this ankle is really bothering him. I do not see him opting out of his deal so we are most likely stuck with him next year.

Yeah it's really too bad Mihm has not been his old self. Though him being out right now is not a huge loss to the team.

With Lamar out next game, I'm looking to see Turiaf get back into the rotation. I thought he should have had a lot more minutes in the Celtics game when it was obvious our team was flat.

He was efficient in the limited minutes he played.

^^ I don't know if he's really injury prone...that was just a REAL bad injury. I feel bad for the guy. That sprain was so bad and could potentially ruin his career.

Sadly enough, I'd say it already has. Unless there's a drastic change in his mobility, I can't see a team taking a chance on him again.

I feel bad for the guy as well. The Lakers have got the new" Grant Hill" in Chris Mihm.

I believe this will be his demise with his career with the Lakers and the NBA as well. This guys bones are brittle (I know it was a tendon, just a figure of speach).

That's too bad for him. He has worked very hard to get back.
It's also too bad for the Lakers. You can never have enough bigs. With Kwame in and out of the line-up, we really do have a vulnerability now with Mihm out.
I hope he recovers enough to help us in the second half of the season and the playoffs.

I think when healthy he can be a solid back up center.

I wonder if we can go after PJ Brown if he reconsiders retirement. I know Pheonix also wants him badly, but he would be great for the Lakers.

Though he hasnt been playing in the last chunk of games for us. He could've helped with his big body for us. Hopefully its been bugging him for some time now and he can rest, take the treatments and be back for us better then he's been all season.

I guess this will hinder trading Kwame for a smaller player and not getting some type of backup C in return.

Good point. If we trade Kwame, we'd need to get a big back somehow unless we can sign a FA like PJ Brown. Does anyone know what if any exceptions we have to sign an FA?

Who cares? Sign Webber now and trade Kwame if we can. I'm not sure who's been worse at Center this year, Turiaf or Mihm? One's not tall enough and the other is still injured.

Its unfortunate that Chris got injured again, I really feel for this guy. I though he would contribute largely before the season started. Looks like it was a lose lose situation for both of us. He did not get to show his talent, and looks like he does not fit in to our system.

Wish him the best in his NBA career.

Webber more than ever now.
Mihm looked to be playing a I can do it(but i know I can't) hand this year -he got paid, I really don't feel he think he had it in him. I think his career is over. Grant Hill was awesome before his injury and took most of a decade to get back to contributing. Chrim Mihm was never better than scrubtastic.

From being projected the number 1 pick in 2000 for sometime to averaging 4/3 a season on bad knees, its pretty sad to see where Mihm's career is heading. Deserves better.
