Two things:
1) I fail to see how this works under the CBA since the Sixers are taking back $4MIL in salary and sending out $10MIL when all three teams are over the cap.
2) A month ago I would have said yes to trading Miller for an expiring and a 1st Rd Pick. That said, Miller is playing amazing ball and now I'm not so sure that I want him traded. The Sixers seem to be finding other ways of unloading salary (Korver, Evans, Green) so that they can keep Miller.
Sixers pass.

Wow!
Pretty good deal for everybody. Denver gets a bigger, younger, more well-rounded roster that should keep them among the top teams in the West for years to come.
I don't love it for New Jersey, but if ecuhus likes it, who am I to argue.
Philly trades A.Miller for cap room and a pick. They tank the rest of the season and get a higher draft pick, while also positioning themselves to have about $20M in cap room.

With 60 mill in salaries being tossed around, it does work under the CBA.
And I dont buy it that the Sixers arent shopping Dre. He clearly isnt in their long term plans, and all he is doing is removing lottery ping pong balls and taking minutes from Louis Williams. This is a spectacular deal financially because they save 6 mill this year on top of clearing cap space for the off season.
The Sixers should fully commit to rebuilding and the youth movement. As long as they have Dre Miller, they wont be committed and will be stuck in this half-way mode, which isnt good for the present or the future.

It works. Teams can take back 125% of what they send out. Since New Jersey and Denver are sending out roughly $30M in contracts, they can each take back up to $7.5M in surplus salary and it will still be legal

For Denver, there also is the problem with Dre back, they're back to having a PG who can't shoot from outside. Then again, Chucky hasn't been able to either, and when they had Dre, they never had a SG anywhere near VC's level. So may work, Williams is looking good and Collins would be another big body.
Nets should be over this if they want to win. Line up of Kidd/AI/Camby/Jefferson and.. Kristic when he is back to health should challenge the Celtics and Pistons. They also move VC's contract.
Philly may want a little more, but Dre isn't in the future plans and they save money plus get a first. Maybe Denver should send Jones or Yak. Both good young players, GK just doesn't like them because they aren't short guards.
