He blocked a dunk by Okur then ran the floor and threw down an oop from Miller.

LOL .... You are right about that. I do not get into those coaching decisions. The coaches do that and I respect their decisions. For anyone to think that an NBA coach does not know which players should be guarding which players is ludicrous not to mention ... silly. They have the matchups they have for a reason. Things do not always work the way they would like for whatever reason. But it is not our place to assume they do not know what they are doing ... As I said ... silly.

Dond, I love your enthusiasm as a sixer fan, but you are wrong here. Here are some facts why.

1- Our ENTIRE DEFENSE revolves around Dalembert's ability to play help defense in the post and erase our permiter defenders mistakes by blocking and most importantly altering a ton of shots.
2- By having dalembert guard a three point shoot, it takes him as far away from the paint as possible.. Something Jerry Sloan.. and every other coach in the league wants.
3- Dalembert has always been a terrible perimeter defender.
4- Evans is a good perimeter defender and has shown all season he can't guard low post players, mostly because his height and lack of jumping ability.

That is why the only thing "silly" about this is the fact that we got blown out against Utah the first time because of this matchup. Yet, we start this game down by 10 because of the same coaching mistake.

I think Cheeks does a good job of getting the team ready to play, but lets face it we have a team full of young players hungry to win and prove themselves. I love Cheeks but he is an average coach at best. His matchups and substitution patters are poor. Another example is we have blown several leads this year by playing small ball while ahead instead of going with what gives us the lead, good team defense and rebounding.

Someone needs to start a "Keep Andre Miller" thread. I've completely changed my mind about trading him the past few weeks. If we can trade Evans and Green for expirings...sign Brand...draft Mayo...

Miller/ Lou
Iguodala/Mayo
Young/ Carney
Brand/ Smith
Dalembert/ Hill

Mo was wrong to put Dalembert on Okur. He realized it and in the 2nd quarter didn't have Sam on him.

It's not that he doesn't know what he's doing, it's that he made a bad decision. He's not God, he's a basketball coach. You can question decision he makes.

You can be a sheep if you want to but please don't tell others how to act. Thanks.

I'm a Utah fan, and normally i'd get a little pissed, but that play on both ends by Williams actually made me smile...

Two bad mistakes by Miller in a row.... We gotta get Carney out of the game.

Well, we will just have to disagree on that. I cannot swallow the idea that any of the 32 NBA coaches do not know what they are doing. AND ... there is a very high probability that they know the game better than anyone posting on this forum ... including you and I. So, I feel that criticizing them for matchups and substituions is disrespectful to their level of expertise and "silly".

Good thing Daly still isn't guarding Boozer.
