Could he be headed to GS? He must be headed to somewhere because Mike Conley is starting at the point.

Warriors aren't making those kinds of trades right now.

For now, the three amigos stay put and Biedrins and Ellis are off the table. No future money coming in and no expiring contracts moving out unless good picks/youth are involved.

No Payton and CERTAINLY no Boykins coming to town, either, according to the last report.

They don't really need to and they have plenty of reason to be into losing since they should get some nice pickins' come June and some nice other stuff as early as February (Gasol trade is not a salary dump, it's a franchize revitalizer).

Memphis was not in it for this season. They're in it for next season.
And like Philadelphia, they're not telling.

Both will be good next year.

Stoudamire, by the way, is an expiring contract for next season and only makes $4 million and change in the meantime. No rush.

Well, Damon may well be going somewhare. Hopefully not here.

I've been wanting Payton from the get. Must be that he's finally realized that no championship contenders are interested in his services so he's considering coming home.

I don't think that Payton can guard point guards any more. I don't think that Payton can any longer penetrate and create while guarded by point guards.

But what if Payton was on the floor with Ellis and Azubuike while Baron rested. Payton might be able to help run the offense if a small forward guarded him. If the Small forward guards Azubuike then Azuibuke becomes the scorer. If they go to three guards then at least we don't have some small forward grabbing offensive rebounds against the Warriors. Payton is one tough old goat who might be a plus for this team.

Being fast has absolutely NOTHING to do with run and gun. Its the ability to make decisions and to know where to be... he's nearly 40 but I'm fairly sure a professional athlete can run for 6-8 minutes straight...

This "old" or "slow" nonsense... give it a rest... jeezus.

The first part is true, the second is not... Payton's never had a problem finding passing lanes, he's got incredible vision and a sixth sense for the game...

Payton's a liability in man D... in a zone, the jury's out... he still has quick hands, and he's still a smart guy. He's cheap and available... and he's that third thing... realistic
