It's the same thing. He needs to calm down.

I think the argument was that he HAD calmed down some...before they banished him to the bench again.

Exactly. That's what I was saying.

Overactive Tyrus leads to lots of production but not all good. It gets him rebounds, steals, deflections and blocks but also lots of fouls, turnovers, and missed assignments, etc.

He has enough talent where if he just plays at level 8 instead of 10, he is much better overall.

Probably because he suffers from sucking

He's on the inactive list? ...I didn't hear about him being hurt. Maybe that Pietrus rumor is true. I hope it isn't. There's nothing like trading a guy who has sucked for 2 years for a guy who's sucked for 4.

YOU PEOPLE MAKE SO MANY EXCUSES FOR THAT GUY. HE'S A LOSER!

That jumper he just made? Not awful.

He shot 58% from "inside" last season according to 82 games which is pretty high. Who else than Deng is better on the team if you think Tyrus is terrible or do you just get off on extreme hyperbole?

Bull Shak wrote:Equal to Gray's, who is a better rebounder, defender, picker, and low post threat. Gray also doesn't make a dumb decision every minute.

Um, Gray isn't in the same ballpark as a rebounding according to any reliable metric. Gray is also a pretty poor defender while Tyrus defends at an elite level. I've also never seen Gray hit a long range jumper. But why let the facts get in the way, it's never stopped you in the past. I hear Gray has deadly range from behind the arc.

Red Larrivee wrote:Now his confidence is "shot"

Oh boy. The excuses run wild.

He played pretty well like he does most games, he doesn't need excuses. You can save yourself the trouble of responding with general comments laden with the words "raw," "bad," etc. since no one ever benefits from them anyways.

Thabo is inactive because he isn't any good.

I'd say the point is that he hasn't been any good all those other games that he was active, and now tonight he he might be useful match up-wise he's not.

This is why if the guy in charge of sound effects can play the ring of big ben when Wallace does something good, he has to play a child's bicycle bell when he misses bunnies.

True. However I'm of the opinion that there isn't a useful matchup from our point of view involving Thabo.

Looks like he's trying to do this but he's getting blocked by Roy pretty easily right now.

What I don't understand is why the team isn't trying to get the ball in the post to Smith.

I also am confused as to why Ben G isn't taking more shots considering he's shooting quite well.

Gordon and Smith are the only ones who can shoot. I bet Wallace takes a few shots which is bad.

The way Boylan plays Hinrich reminds me how Sloan used to play Stockton with Eisley coming in for long stretches.

If Deng is done then we need Hinrich.

How convenient of you to leave off his "close" precentage that year. It was .333, btw. Or his inside OR close percentage this year.

You know who's a better finisher this year? Joe Smith, Luol Deng, Joakim Noah, and likely more, his stats THIS season are beyond awful in the paint.
