Redd to the Wolves

Post#1 » by iamNAStradamus » Fri Jan 4, 2008 9:42 pm

I want to get in on the trade Redd fun.

Bucks get:
Wolves first round pick unprotected
Craig Smith
Antoine Walker
Marco Jaric
Greg Buckner
Mark Madsen

Wolves Get:
Redd
Villy
Gadz
Bucks 2nd rounder

Why for the Bucks: The blow up of the team starts, you get a high pick who could turn out to be a star to go along with our high pick as well. Craig smith is a nice young player to add.

The Wolves: Get a star in Redd to go along with Big Al which would make a very good big man/Guard scoring tandem.

Would you do it? Do the Wolves and the Bucks do it?

Again Redd makes no sense for the Wolves. They're rebuilding, they don't want him and they definitely don't want Gadz and there's no way we get their unprotected pick for him.

For an unprotected first this coming year from Minny, I would do it. Thats very likely a top 3 pick to go along with the lottery pick we end up with. Then maybe you have some magic happen and get Rose and Beasley. Then you start thanking McHale.

I'm trying to work out a trade with Sacramento on the trade checker centered around Kevin Martin and Kenny Thomas. I tried Redd and Gadzuric for Kevin Martin, John Salmons, Shareef Abdur Rahim and Kenny Thomas but the money is a little bit off I guess. Although I added the salary numbers and it's like 1 off, whoopty-doo.

Edit: I got one to work, it's not the most appealing, as we take back some stupid contracts but we get rid of Gadz and these deals both end the same year.

Successful Trade Scenario
Congratulations on a successful trade.

Due to Milwaukee and Sacramento being over the cap, the 25% trade rule is invoked. Milwaukee and Sacramento had to be no more than 125% plus $100,000 of the salary given out for the trade to be accepted, which did happen here. This trade satisfies the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Not the most appealing but Abdur Rahim's and Thomas' contracts end the same year and Salmons and Martin are two very good young players. I doubt Sacramento does this though, unless they think they can win with this new team.

New Lineups:
Pg Mo/Ivey/Sessions
Sg Martin/Bell/Mason/Dahntay Jones
Sf Salmons/Simmons/Mason/Storey
Pf Yi/Kenny Thomas/Abdur-Rahim
C Bogut/Voskuhl/Thomas

We become younger and a little deeper. I think this makes us better in the future too.

Sacramento:
Pg. Bibby
Sg. Redd
Sf. Artest
Pf. Villanueva
C. Brad Miller

That's a pretty good team right there.

Redd will not go to Minnesota

Redd will not go to LAC

Nor will he go to Seattle

Miami? Nope

Memphis...think again.

Sacramento? No.

That's because (bah ba da!!!) THESE TEAMS ARE REBUILDING. So...if you have a Redd trade in mind, run it by this list first. Is your team on there? If it is, stop what you're doing and run away.

The Antoine Walker experience? Yea right, he only wishes it was called that. Its more like the Anthony Mason experience part II.
