The only trade I'd even consider would be Rip for Redd, since I think Redd is the better player. He's the more capable scorer, which is really the most important role Rip fills for out team. Rip may be more consistent, but Redd is the better iso player and more apt to take over a game offensively when necessary. Not quite good enough to carry a team, but better in that regard than Rip. The one advantage Rip really has is defensively, and he certainly didn't have that reputation when he came to Detroit. I'm not sure you'd see *that* big of a difference if you put Redd on a strong defensive team w/ guys who emphasized and took pride in playing that end of the floor.

Ultimately I'd turn down the deal for financial reasons though; Rip on his contract is a better value than Redd on his. Not a big enough upgrade to justify paying 50% more.
