Ok now you're all over the place.![]()
First you're telling us JRich has been outstanding, and now you're searching for excuses why he's disappeared late in games. Come on gramps, you can do better than that.
And if you watched the Pacers game, Crash completely took over midway through the 4th and overtime. Oh wait, I do remember JRich getting involved on one play when he made a nice pass.
*waits for next round of misdirection from grandpa spectre*
*hearing through the grapevine, grandpa intends to put up stats showing JRich's outstanding 4 quarter numbers during his freshman year of high school*
And while Richardson admitted he was sore, suffering from a headache and experiencing some blurred vision, staying in the game and helping the Bobcats to a 107-103 overtime victory justified his temporary discomfort.

My point wasn't that he'd helped, but that he came out and gave effort even though his face was swollen and his vision was blurred. IMO that showed HEART...this should preclude him from any complaints about "disappearing" in the 4th. Up until then he'd played a pretty darn good game and he came back regardless of the injury to do whatever he could to help his mates.
You keep blasting him about defense...no one is playing team D with any semblance of a plan most of the time. Jason has NEVER been considered a good defender and no one should expect one. When we're beat and everyone is trying to compensate he's not going to recover like Crash or Felton would...he's just not as fast laterally. This is not going to change. When the team works as a unit it doesn't happen as often...get that going consistently and we cover individual weaknesses a lot better.
What we can look from JRich is effort on D and excelling in the things he can do...like shoot a high %, rebound and block an occasional shot. Without his shooting (especially in the last 8 games) we wouldn't have been in any position to sniff a victory.
Just like with Ammo...if you expect a Larry Bird clone you are sure to be continually disappointed. You have to realize what's there and what's possible. Not doing more isn't on him, it's on you.
If only I'd just quoted the next two posts behind mine...

Tonight he was raining jump shots, but letting VC score at will. Point being, for all the good JRich does shooting the ball, he gives it up on defense AND A WHOLE LOT MORE.

Ahhh the irony in you having a cheerleader as your avatar. Speaks volumes.
Got pom-poms?

Your attempts at humor are almost as good as your player critique. Try working on comedy instead...who knows, you might actually become competent in that one day.
Fats...he's not going to "get" Natasha just like he hasn't "gotten" anything else yet. Just another poor individual who has to resort to insults when all else fails. He sees what he sees and is always caught by surprise when everyone else disagrees with him.
Kinda sad really.
I'm sorry Bowen...I take it back. I really do like you...truly!
