Of course they hit a wall. In today's NBA with players coming out too early and undeveloped, they have to adjust.
It sometimes takes years, and seein where Thad is, I woodn't be suprised if he didnt live up to his potential for a couple years (if ever).
These days you just gotta give rookies more time to develop. You're not going to see anymore (plug in good rookie)-ish rookie seasons.

remove josh smith (he is not a PF)
insert paul millsap. stud. i'm just waiting for the day when utah can't pay both boozer and millsap big money, and the sixers will swoop in with their cap room and max him out. that moment could come next summer (09).
Max out Millsap? Seriously?

Your username is "Fire BK" but this type of thinking is exactly why BK needed to be fired.
I wish Billy King ever made a move like signing Paul Millsap. Millsap definitely looks like the real deal and I personally think he's going to be a stud. I don't think he'll get $10M in '09, but I don't think it would be inconceivable considering how well he plays whenever given the minutes.

Gilbert Arenas?
For every Gilbert, Manu, L-Will, and Ellis, There's a countless streak of names that didn't enter the NBA and shouldn't have bothered entering the draft. Oh, I forgot to name Kyle Korver. But, the number of those who succeded in the 2nd round as compared to those who HAVEN'T, is damn high.
And I think the only 2nd round player to ever recieve something close to a max contract has to be Gilbert and Manu.

Yeah. And Millsap is one who has succeeded.
