Some comments about the Raps from ESPN feed Raps/Pistons

Post#1 » by LieCheatSteal » Sat Jan 5, 2008 2:39 am

More tidbits:

Brown: "Cow"deron a smart player; in offseason, called Mitchell everyday to tell him how many shots he took in practice.

About Moon: a feel good story; carries a high school musical pink knap sack around filled with candy for initiation. Mitchell's story: he gets excited about $5000 dollar check from upper deck for rookie card.

Brown on Bargs: complete confusion about Bargs. Perplexed about 0 rebounds from 7 footer.

Shulman, very nice about the Raps: brought up missing Garbo, Raps a "forgotten team"

Problem with Raps, in regards with a mic'd up Parker urging his team to play d-fense, : "seems like the Raps have to convince themselves to play tougher defense"

Brown on Raptors: "good young nucleus that needs to stay together for a few years".

Brown on fourth quarter collapse: "the Raptors playing porous Dixon... defense". That's what I heard. Seriously.

BTW, ESPN (Brown and Shulman) both thought Mitchell is a good coach.

They were hinting the entire game that we were just too soft. Basically a discussion on getting to the free throw line.

Hubie said something along the lines of our team is really strange, mainly the fact that we have all these great free throw shooters but are one of the worst teams in the league at getting to the free throw line. Said he has never seen anything like that.

They know Basketball.
Obama did not shut down the practice of torture, but merely repositioned it, to the American norm. The torture regime of Ford through Clinton, year by year, produced more US-backed strapped-down agony than was produced during the Bush/Cheney years.

They were also talking about the Raps defense too being soft. See one of my synopses.

They also showed a clip of Anthony Parker motivating the Raptors to be aggressive and one of them commented on how it seems like the team needs motivation to play aggressively on both ends of the floor.

Oh yeah..Moon has a pink High School Musical bag lol

Listening to Shulman and Hubie was great. I'm glad we had some nice commentators on this game. Thanks to whoever put up the feed earlier.

I liked when they mentioned Moon being so excited that Upper Deck gave him $5,000 to sign a bunch of autographs on cards he couldn't believe they gave him so much money... he brought the check in to show Sam Mitchell hahahaha

Thanks for the synopsis. I'm glad I'm not the only one walking around with this.
