Sixers v. Lakers tonight - OMG Bynum!!!!

Post#1 » by HarthorneWingo » Sat Jan 5, 2008 4:45 am

At halftime, Bynum has 14 pts, 12 rebounds and 3 blocks. But that's not why I write. I just saw him make this spinning, Earl The Pearl-like move into the lane and then - with the LEFT hand - extend into the air and then poster-ize Jason Smith with a monster slam dunk IN HIS FAAACCCCEEEEE!!!!!

I'm apologize to those who think that this is only gloating over another team's player, but we could have had this monster instead of Channing Frye. And it's not as though is was a freak thing that no one could have ever anticipated. This kid was a monster in high school with obvious ability over most mortal men.

Bynum's playing well because he has a front-office and a coaching staff that actually develops players. With the Knicks, Bynum would have sucked and Frye would have turned out good with the Lakers had they drafted him.

If you get the NBA League Pass, you should check out this game. And then you might start getting your money's worth. I bought the plan because of that loser of a team I just happen to be in love with.

Serious question: When was the last Laker draft pick that turned out to be a bust?

I think they just develop players better then everyone else in the league.

Buss is smart and Dolan is a dope. End of story. I like that kid Crittendon too. He looks like a keeper.

Incidentally, what did they do with all those guys back when there were 7+ rounds in the draft? Were they just training camp invites?

Very unfortunate indeed. Zeke even admitted that recently when he explained the choice of Frye. This summer is HAS to be BPA.

Well, Eddy Curry had 25 and 12 tonight against the world champion SPURS. It's not just any other team, it's against THE SPURS. Don't you think that is amazing? Bynum is only good when no one is guarding him and only against subpar teams (like the Sixers..)

Let me ask you this though: Would you trade a perennial and proven all star eddy Curry for Andrew Bynum?

Proven all-star? Maybe we can trade him to the Lakers for Brown, Bynum, and two draft picks.

I will go as far to say Curry could average 20+ points playing next to Bryant and Odom.

Yes, in a heartbeat. Bynum averages a double-double and is a much better shot-blocker than Eddy.
